I received a call today from the "Hilton" asking for my brother because he won something for him or a spouse. I told them that he was not at this number and that I could give them his number but she said that she could not take the number and would call me back. The whole conversation seemed fishy to me.

I have had calls from Hilton in the past and asked that I be removed from their list. But, as others have noted, it does not do any good. Callers like these do not intend to comply with the DNC regulation; it is toothless.

Send an email to this guy. I threatened an FCC complaint and a change.org petition (which would have been a great black eye delivery system) if they didn't take care of this ASAP. Got an email asking for number, sent it, got a reply back immediately promising that it had been blocked.

they call all day long and into the evening, guess they don't mind an answering machine cause that is all they will get in response from us all the way to eternity.  No plans to waste our time with them.

I am a Hilton Honors member.  However, this is the first time in 8 years of membership that they have called.  Assuming this is actually Hilton, I am planning to write to the Hilton Honors e-mal address and ask them why I should continue to stay exclusively at Hilton Properties for the next 8 years?  I am thinking of switching to Marriott.

Received a call AGAIN from 407-722-3991.  It is a telemarketing person from Hilton.  I asked how they got my number and they said if I had ever stayed at one of the Hilton brand hotels,   Waldorf Astoria,  Conrad,
Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Doubletree, Embassy Suites,  Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton, Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites.  that is where they got it from.  If you would like to call and bother them, or maybe try to get off the mailing list, here is the info.

They gave me a confirmation number to "get out of " their system.  Will see if that really works! Oh ya, the people that answered the phone were really uppity and nasty!

Call several times a week, no message and hang up if I answer.  I'm going to contact Hilton corporate, you can pretty much assume they've contracted with this service with the hope of bringing in business, and the company is probably paid in terms of how many calls they log.  Not that I'm particularly sympathetic to Hilton, but the calling service needs to have their contract terminated.

They have been calling me every morning between 8:00-9:00. I told them the only thing I want to do "Hilton" wise is Paris, and only if they would also supply the condom. They hung up on me :|

Okay, so we get these calls periodically because through my husband's employer, he stays at quite a few Hilton facilities.  They've called to offer discount vacations to NYC, Las Vegas, Florida, Hawaii.  We've actually taken advantage of the New York and Florida deals (and they were incredible deals - you just have to know how to negotiate pricing with them).  They let us know up front that the purpose is to sell you "vacation weeks", which is really TIMESHARE properties.  We tell them we have no interest in purchasing any type of vacation plan, and we're only agreeing to sit through the presentation to get the discounted vacation.  The person offering the "vacation" has no problem with that; it's the high pressure salesperson you get once you've sat through the presentation.  No matter, we stand our ground, thank them and are merrily on our way - see *Note below.  We stayed at a fantastic location about two blocks off Broadway, had vouchered parking for the weekend, received a voucher for $100 off a meal and paid something like $80/night for a very nice studio room.  In Florida, we were at a very upscale resort, close to Sea World and Disney - again very reasonably priced, but of course had to put up with a pushy sales person.  It was worth an hour or so of our time.  There is a time limit in which you have to use the discounted vacation, but we had had a serious illness in the family and they allowed us to extend the limit by three months.  I'm writing this because I saw the HGVC 407-722-3991 appear on our caller ID this evening.  I chose not to answer because I know they'll call back - by then, my husband and I will have had a chance to decide whether or not we wish to take another fairly cheap vacation or not.  They've always been very polite when we've declined and I know they'll probably call back in another 18 months.  *Note: The salesman in New York was extremely overbearing and pushy - but no match for my husband - a WV redneck hillbilly at heart - I mean that as a compliment!

What is the deal with all of these calls lately?  We are on the do not call list and my understanding is only exemption is for surveys and political calls, which obviously a call from Hilton and these credit card companies to lower your interest rates do not apply to that category!  Very irritating!!

I have received several calls from this number on my *work* phone.  Generally, when I pick up there is no one there.  After reading these posts, I called the number back and asked them to remove my number.  I received, yet again, another call from them about a week later.  This time they tried to claim they were trying to reach an actual person (who doesn't work for our company) and even rattled off an address (that isn't in this city).  I've asked them to remove the number again...we'll see.

People, legitimate companies don't keep calling you when you've asked to be removed from their list, and they don't call you at all if you are on the Federal do not call list.  If you get calls from these numbers it's highly likely to be a scam. They are probably not the Hilton chain at all -- Hilton would be calling from a legitimate 800 number. The 407 area code is in the Orlando area, which is a rat's nest of phone scammers, grifters of all stripes, and less-then-reputable call centers for the nastiest of the bill collectors.

This is NOT Hilton Vacations.  It is a scam operator.  I do not advise to call back to ask to have your number removed as it will only let them know that it's a live number and will likely result in more calls from other scammers rather than no calls from Hilton.
