I received 3 to 4 phone calls from number 408-248-1579 and when I tried to return the call it automatically forwarded to a general voicemail.  If this is a telemarketing strategy then I'll ignore future calls.

It is telemarketing company to ask people to renew free technical magazine subscription. It may also apply other kind of magazine. It is harmless but annoying.

Called my business line and left no message.

I called this number back. I got a general voicemail account for a company (I cant' remember the name) that verifies information for trade magazine subscriptions. Sounds fairly harmless.
