Just received a call from this number... Told me his name was Detective Anderson and I needed to take care of a bill before I went to court.  I was extremely rude to him and asked him to take my number off of his list... When I did that, he became perverted and began sexual talk.  What a scam.

It's so funny a really heavy Indian man with accent ... trying to play he is a laywer and say he has my information ... what boggus... just don't answer any phone numbers you don't know... if its important they will leave a message then you know what's going on.

I received a call from this number stating that he was with law enforcement and that I was being sued today.  I just told him that I knew this was a scam and that he should not call again.  I then called the number and first got a message that said his name and that he was on the phone and I should leave a message.  I did not but called back and he answered.  I told him that I had reported his number to the police and that if he called again he would be prosecuted.  He had a pronounced East Indian accent.

The 646# is google voice and the 408 is magic jack.

This guy, first Jack Clarke then James Anderson, has been calling me for weeks. He leaves threatening voice messages stating ill be taken to jail if i dont pay. I can barely understand anything in the message since he has a thick middle eastern accent. I have reported him to my police department and will be filing a police report after work. Im doing research on the phone company and will be filing a civil suit. A lack of regulation on things like this is the reason horrid eventslike 9/11 take place. I want this guy taken down!!!

I've gotten four more calls since my last post on here. The calls are getting more intense today the same dock called me telling me he was Officer Jackson. He said I took out a loan for $2600 And I did not pay it back then at the end of the call he said that I took out a loan for $400 and I needed to pay it back. He said that if I did not make the payment in two days I would go to jail. I called my local police and file the report against this this isn't the only case that they've had. Anyone who gets a call from this number or the other 646 number should file a police report! These are magicJack numbers located out of California I work for a phone company so I have access to records like that! I've turned over the address the name on the file and everything listed for that phone number to my Police Department!

Oh forgot....once I didn't answer call on my personal cell phone...he left message then called my work number!!!! How the heck did they get that? To beat all, I told him that he was calling a government number & it could be traced because I was reporting it to my manager.

Really???? A foreign guy named James Anderson!!!!! And says he's with the FBI and a lawsuit is being filed against me. Come on people....how would you feel if I tried to steal your darned identity!!!!! These foreigners calling constantly really needs to stop!!!! Not just from this number but from EVERY number that was outsourced!!!!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Left a message and told me he was officer james anderson from law something department and a serious law suit has been filed against me and that my social security no is on hold and address under investigation and that needed to call this number back to take care of and to stop the investigation didnt tell me what i was under investigations for.and that he would try his best to help me out with the situation. the phone call was very fuzzy and could hardly understand him he kept cutting in and out. did call back and told him i was a lawyer and was going to have him investigated.he did not like this was very rude and hung up on me he never did tell me what i was being investigated for.  i have had alot of calls lately from this area code but with various no. and all r the same just telemarkers with scare tactics to get u to give money out and information to them!!!!

I received a voicemail from this number, but I can only pick up a few words here and there, "social security number," "legal action," and he'll "try to help me as best he can." I can't understand much more than that though. I'm blocking his number and will hopefully not be bothered with this scam again.

I g got a strange voicemail today from a number 408 256 8021... he said my name the said they have a case on file with my SSN fir the state of Florida. Saud i need to call back or he cant help me. His Accent was so strong I had to listen to the message 6. I blocked my # and called the # back snd got a voicemail that sounds alit lime the guy who left me a message. Ive never been to Florida!  Im reporting this.

This person is changing there name anytime you call them they are pretending to know info about you in order to try to scam you. Saying they are receiving calls for a civil suit. It is a scam.

hi i got a phone call first on 9/21 with a man with a strong indian accent stating that he was a lawyer and to inform me that a police officer would be calling me in the next several days over a debt for a cash advance for 300, then today i got the phone call from officer james anderson that i was going to b taken to court and be arrested at my home with in the next few days!   i talked to a friend of mine that works at a cash advance and says that this number has already been reported it is against the law to arrest someone over a cash advance and that i will probly get another phone call tommorow with a women that i can take care of the advance over the phone,  so if u get a call from these people it is a scam just hang up do not give any information to them!

Wants to take me to court for $186.00, really? And I got this loan all while living in a domestic violence shelter with no internet? HHMMMMM!?

Same guy called today, this time from a different number, he didn't ask to speak to anyone, just said he was John Miller with Law Investigation, I asked who he was looking for, and he just started talking again about the law investigation, i googled this number, 646-580-2194, it's not showing anything, just that it's a New York number, this is getting annoying.

I just received a phone call from this number, first was a voicemail stating that his name was john miller from law investigation department stating that a lawsuit was filed against me.  I called the number back and left a message not to call me again, he then immediately called back and asked if I was me..... I told him he has the wrong number and that i was calling the fbi on him for phishing, he immediately hung up.  I called again and left another message that for a john miller, he sure had an amazing indian accent.....and hung up again.  dont worry about it.

Receive a 911 call from this number left a message on my voice mail stating his name James Anderson from law and investigation Dept. States he is going take me to court.

I recieved a call from this number they are fruad company trying to scare people for financial benefit. Disregard the calls and dont give them any personal information.

This is a harrassment phony bill collector.  Called me several times threatening to take me to court over $700...um yeah it would cost them more to file and take me to court then what I owe!  What a crock they just want to see how scared they can make you so you will pay their sorry a@#@# something!

Don't fall for it HANG UP AND TELL THEM YOU ARE REPORTING THEM TO THE FBI AND TO CA ATTORNEY GENERAL...
