I think this number is just a number programmed into a phone line & not the
actual number being called from.  I called this number back and got the message
from the phone co that this number has been disconnected.  My caller ID said
"California" which can be entered into any phone.  

Personally, I don't get the purpose of these calls if they never respond when you
answer anyway.

Since I wrote that first comment, they call EVERY SINGLE DAY at least once a day.  I have them marked on my phone as "SPAM" and I don't answer.  They are disgusting and I would never do business with them.

OMG they won't stop calling.  First I answered because it was a local area code.  It was an insurance telemarketer.  I said we weren't interested and requested to be taken off the call list.  I also let her know we were on the Do Not Call registry list as well.

So... I put them in my directory as "spammer" and assumed it was over.  Nope.  They picked up calls about a month later, so I answered again to say not interested and they hung up in my face.

Now they call a few times a day.  I never answer it and reported them.

They call, I answer and they hang up, I call back the number and get a response that the phone number is not taking calls at this time, please try again later....AND my number is on the "National do not call list"
I would like to see (hear) this stopped !

When we told them the business owner was not in the got pissed off and proceeded to call back "18" times in a row.  We are trying to run a business, this is crazy!!

This number called yesterday, asked if the business owner was in.  When we told her no, she got pissed off and hung up and proceeded to call back "18" times in a row.  We are trying to run a business.  This is ridiculous!

Calling me all day.

I receive a call from this number with Caller ID "California"

This number calls and hangs up.  The caller ID says California?

These people ask for my owner and then hang up on me numerous times.  When I call back, it rings once and then they hang up on me.  Pretty ridiculous.

Called on 02-03-12 at 10:18 am After i answered the phone and identified myself, the caller hung up and when i called back the number it rang once and then complete silence....sooo weird!!!

Female caller asked for "William".  Hung up when asked who she was.  On callback, rings once, then dead air.

Followup:  Ever since I told them to take me off the call list, they just keep calling and other numbers from solicitors have quadrupled in volume.  They obviously sell your phone number to other solicitors or they are one big group of different solicitations.  It's disgusting.

They call & never leave message. I tried calling them & it did weird tones (like forwarding to 2 different numbers) and then automatically disconnected. Annoying.  A consumer on 800Notes reported it as Aetna Insurance trying to sell insurance.

She calls, asks for the owner. I say the owner doesn't answer this line and can I take a message.

She hangs up in my face.

Over and over she calls back.

They call and ask for the owner. I say the owner will not be answering this line and the best I can do is leave a message.

She hangs up in my face, the calls back in a few hours.  Telemarketers.  Gotta love 'em.

The pattern is clear and consistent. Let's put this guy outta business.

I just got the call from 408-387-6888 which I missed and when I called back, it said it is a non-working number, I called my cell carrier, AT&T, and they got the same recording but the Customer Care person couldn't provide me with any explaination. Wierd.

This number has been calling me for a couple weeks now.  I answer, they hang up!  I called them back and a man asnwered saying "hello?".  Sooo, I hung up on him!

I got a call from 408-387-6888 ask to speak to the owner of the company......Name, but then they want to know the owner name and address. I hang-up the phone and try to call them back! I got the massage say the phone is no longer in service.

I have this number calling from time to time and hang up as I answered the call.

ANSWERED PHONE, SHE SAID MY NAME AND I SAID YES AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME.

CALL ASKING FOR ME BY MY NAME, TOLD THEM SHE NO LONGER WORKS HERE CAN I HELP U WITH SOMETHING? SHE SAYS NO AND HANGS UP.....

This number call an then hangs up

I have had this number calling me sometimes two or three times a day!  Sometimes even as late as10:00 p.m.  It's very annoying.  I get calls both on my cell and our business number.

REPEAT CALLS, DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS DID NOT ANSWER. LAST CALL, I ANSWER THEY  SAID MY NAME AND I SAID YES THE LADY HUNG UP ON ME.

WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO AND WHAT THAT'S ALL ABOUT!
