This person of Indian sounding nature is calling everyday... All hours of day and night, and leaves messages stating this is American Law enforcement agency,.,. i am under investigation and I need to call back immediately, or they will take further action. The scary part was he had my name and ss#. I have blocked the number from my phone and have never called back at this point.

Person with foreign accent periodicallys leaves threatening messages on my work phone number.  Like a few other folks stated, caller has my ss# except for one digit and says I must contact him within 3 days.  Previously, I tried to obtain a payday loan through some online sources, but never actually got the a payday loan.  I believe Cash.Net USA or some other type of third party online payday loan site is providing these scammers with people's personal information.  Need to find out how to stop these scammers from calling my work number and potential identity theft situation.  Any suggestions????

"Ricky Watson" called my mother from this number and told her she had to pay $590 because someone took out a loan from Cash Now USA in her name without paying it back.  He threatened to have the Sheriff come if she did not. He would not answer her questions and said he was reading from a prepared script. He had an accent.  This is a complete scan and we have reported it to the FTC and local authorities.  

Received calls from someone at this number representing themselves as Ryan from American Law Enforcement Department.  Very heavy accent.  Claims to have SSN and that charges are being filed against me and I will soon be arrested if I do not cooperate.  Googled the number and found all this stuff on line about them and their very ILLEGAL tactics of trying to SCAM people out of money by threatening legal action.  PEOPLE BEWARE !!!!!! Our personal information is not personal at all. Had SSN, name, cell ph# and my work #!  

I received a phone call from this number today.  The guy's name is Peter Morris claiming to be from American Law Enforcement.  Left a voicemail telling me that I had legal action pending against me and my social security number and that if I did not return the telephone call that my case would be forwarded to my local Sheriff's office for them to come and arrest me and that I would lose my job.  I think it is a scam.  

THIS PERSON KEEPS CALLING MY EMPLOYER AND LEAVING ME THREATENING MESSAGES.  i CANNOT GET THEM TO STOP CALLING MY EMPLOYER AND MY CELL PHONE.  i HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH THIS PERSON BEFORE.  tHEY SAY THAT THEIR NAME IS pETER mORRIS.  tHEY SOUND FOREIGN AND HAVE A LOT OF BACKGROUND NOISE.  THEY TALK ABOUT CRIMINAL PROSCECUTION.  IT IS AWFUL.

This guy Neal Johnson who stated he was a lawyer and I was being sued. Had my ss#.  He told me to get pen and paper and not to interrupt him.

Peter Morris from American Law Enforcement called, stating that legal action would be taken if I did not return his call.  The background sounds like a call center, and "Peter" had a thick Indian accent.  The number showed up as Invalid on www.whitepages.com

I just received a call from Peter Morris also, did you find out what this was about?

Said I was being sued and repeat my social security number and told me to call.  The gentlemen name is Peter Morris and he is and hard to understand.

Keep calling my job

I just received a vm saying I was going to be put in jail also from the same number. I know it's a scam the guy said his name was.peter Morris from the federal legislation..lol The only thing I really am concerned.with is he left my full social security number.  What can I do about this?? I am afraid he is going to use my information or sell it. Is there any way I can stop it!???

Indian sounding guy. Said my ssn was stolen.

African sounding male calls himself jerry ,says i am being sued, and to call him back-he knew my ssn. Tells me he is a lawyer.That I would be arrested if i didnt call back

I received the same phone calls from this number. Called back and spoke with "Steven Jones" from the "American Law Enforcement Department" who informed me of a case filed against me. He stated I took out a loan from Cash Now USA and did not repay. He listed all of my information to include my name, address, phone number and FULL social security number. Number one: I am pretty sure a real debt collector or law agency would not give out this information without first confirming you are the intended party. Number two: it is worrysome that some scammer out there has all of this info! He stated they would accept payment now to stop me from going to court, being arrested, etc for committing fraud. Quoted some federal statutes to make it sound convincing but I know better. After he was finished with his lines, I informed him I was not aware of ever taking a loan out with that company and to tell me when I supposedly did this. He stated he could not give me any information on this as the paperwork had already been sent to my local sherrif's office. Right, like a legit place wouldn't keep a copy of it. Anyway, I told him that since he couldn't provide me with any proof that I wasn't going to set up any payment. He said "okay I have done my job and you will be hearing from your local sherrif's department within 3 days". Of course after I hung up I was a little bothered just because no one ever likes being threatened to go to jail even if you know you didn't do anything wrong. This phone call took place on Wednesday (october 16). It has now been a full week and I have not heard another word. No one has come looking for me and there is no record online of any cases against me. Total scam!!!

staci.... this is a big scam.... 1. block them out with a free phone app, 2. Maybe change your # or 3. just don't answer it ... get a phone blocker on it   Mr Number  it's free.... don't worry about them... they will get there's in the end.. k.

received phone call from this # (sounded indian)saying that i took out a payday loan and they are threatening legal action... and if i dont pay $500 some i will br arrested in 3 days and have to pay $7000... i kept asking questions and he told me to "check my mouth" after continuously asking called me stupid... i believe it is a scam so i just hung up considering i didn't take out a payday loan

Received threatening voicemail from a m an who sounded foreign, possibly indian. On v.m. said his name was Mark Strong, claiming to be law enforcement, and if I didn't contact him immediatly would be persecutting me in the next couple of days. I called back, he answered as Alex Strong, and I said that I was returning his voicemail, while chuckling as I suspected it was a scam. He immediatly asked ,"Why are you laughing?" I told him because I think this is a scam, and than he angrily demanded that I do not call this number back again! And hung up on me before I could say anything else. Hmmm...doesn't sound too implortant police business does it?? I had my fiance call the number back later that nnight, the v.m. was him,  said we had reached the State Attorneys Office of CA. I called my local police dept to report this, but they pretty much blew it off, told me to ignore phone calls, and don't give out any of my info. Although he said the last four digits of my ss# in the v.m. he left me. WHAT'S GOING ON???

Received a call threatening legal action.  It sound like someone from India.  I've received several of these calls but it always appear to be a scam.  How do I stop these calls?
