I rceived a call at Oct 23 midnight EST from this number wth a recorded message saying that my Valley National Bank credit card had been stopped because of potential fraud. Press 1 for more info. I hung up as I knew this was a scam and I do not have a valley card.

On November 3, 2008, I got a similar call saying something about an Amarillo National Bank credit card.
Since we don't bank there, I hung up.

Hi. I am the owner of Go Mobile Group. Our called ID has been hijacked by some firm calling homes to defraud. We have reported this to the police and too each bank that is being defrauded. From what we understand, the calls started late October on the east coast and progressing west as I type.
All consumers should know that YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER give out personal information over the phone. A legit bank would never ask you to give your complete credit card number to verify your account. Please report any such calls to the banks that they are referencing. Susana

Recieved call today around 12 noon. I didn't answer because I didn't recongize the number. I later looked it up and found the other comments. I'm in the South Central United States.

Yep, just got a call at quarter til midnight on a Thursday. Weird thing is, I just had my ATM card ripped off electronically -- I still have the card, and I have no idea what happened or how they got the pin number. Bunch of withdrawls in Madrid drained my account. Don't know if the two are related but watch out!

I received the same kind of call Nov 9th, 2008 stating that my credit card had been suspended on account of suspicious activity and I was asked to enter my 16 digit cc number as well as telelphone number and other personal info.
Can the true origin of this call be traced?

Go Mobiel group, robot voice saying my Max FCU data card was suspended, press 1 to be transfered to security dept. I hung up.
