Just received a call, with a message about working for the government proceesing FHA refunds, or something along those lines. Wanted me to press 1, and learn how to make 38K doing this... I hung up.

Just got the same phone call. The lady said I on a WalMart gift card and free gas. They always call and I tell them to remove me from their list and I am on the do not call list but that never works.

Just got this call.
Same deal. They knew my name, address, card type, and last four digits.
A guy asked me if my address was correct, then handed the phone to his "supervisor."
They said I'd get $120 in gas cards and WalMart gift cards.
They said that I'd be charged a small amount of $3.98.
For some reason, they wanted me to spell out my name to confirm it.
After I told them it sounds too good to be true, and that I was going to hang up, I looked at my phone and they already hung up.
Was I almost scammed? I'm guessing they would have asked for the rest of my debit number, and proceed to charge mysterious charges.

I received a call just now on my cell from this number. The caller identified himself as being with Google Rewards, gave the last four digits of a credit card I cancelled a year ago for fraud, and offered me $150 in free gas and something else I could not understand. He asked me to confirm my mailing address and tried to confirm that my name was Arlene Engel (sp?). I would not confirm the address, told them that I was not Arlene Engel and asked for whom they were working. They hung up on me. I called the phone number back, and found that all circuits were busy.

This person will not stop calling even though I have asked to be removed from their call list.
They ask for personal information that I'm not comfortable giving out. If I could, I would report them to the authorities for harassment.

I have now received four calls in two hours from this number! When I call it back it has the same message as calls from 949-256-9125 & 213-363-5111. They never leave a message and do not identify themselves. The one call I answered from 949-256-9125 was a live operator who referenced my mastercard ending in ****, wanting me to sign up for free gas. I hung up. I don't know how to stop this. This calls are incessant all day and up until 930pm at night. This just started for me about five days ago. To be safe, I am canceling my current mastercard, and I may change my phone #. I also pressed "1" when I called the 949-256-9125 # back and they called back four more times!!!

Just received a call from this number.
Mary (and Jessica Taylor from before) claimed to be with a company called "Global Marketing".
I've informed them several times to not call me and they continue to do so. I have threatened to report them to the states attorney general's office and am in the process of doing so.

Similar to the others below: Private Office is the ID, and there is never a message. We're learning not to pick up any of these Private Office/Unavailable type calls, but the increasing number of them is maddening.

Received a call from this number regarding processing FHA refunds. As a retired banker knew it was a scam but listened thru the enire message, For $69 I could get a "package" of information. Right , like I am going to send $69. There was an option in second part of message to delete my name from this opportunity. Let's see if that works.
Is there anything we can do about these calls. I am on the do not call registry.

I too got a call from this number and i answered the call. I figured it waas a telemarketing scheme. THIS time they said something along the lines of " we have tried to contact you abuot a job oppertunity working with the Government processing refunds for home mortages" or something like that. It sounded fishy and they said that If i was interested in working from home and blah blah ( soundiing extra good) I could press 1. I didnt press one because i was afraid this would lead to my bill being charged as I have heard of those schemes before and i would NEVER give out my info over the phone.

This number constantly appears on my Caller I.D. I always let it go to voice mail, and the caller never leaves a message. I figured it was a telemarketer.
I am very glad this forum exists.

I received a call today on my cell from this number. This is a scam from account services offering to lower my credit card interest rates.
