This guy texted us about buying a Harley and said he needed us to pay for the shipping via Western Union and that he would give us more money to make up the difference. Really? .............this guy is an idiot and scammer! Do not be fooled! ...............He said his name was Brian Snapp and his original message came from phone number 646-535-2791 (but that one was dead at that moment! - JEEEZ!) .............So glad for google!

Man calls me saying he's a man starting a "secret agent project"  and he's trying to buy my 1963 Cessna 172D so that agents in his "project"  that cannot get to places at high speeds can get to the places.

Anytime you get a message like this or they say IM OK WITH THE ASKING OR SAID PRICE or shipping agent or paypal or check... its a scam.. only do business in person

Just got a text from 408-728-9921 wanting to buy  3k mower.  I txted back with details.  Will see what he comes back with.  In the meantime I thought I'd check out his phone number because the area code was not anywhere close to where I live.  Came across this.  How interesting!  I will have an enlightening txt for him if he txts me again.  Thanks for the heads up.

We just got the same txt messages too. We had posted a motorcycle on Craigslist and this clown txt me wanting to pay me through paypal. I said NO WAY!.  I called Paypal and they said this sort of thing happens all the time people take payment through paypal then the buyer files a dispute once they get the merchandise and you are then obligated to send the money back. You are out of both your money and your merchandise...... This person is a scam. I think we should sign this number up for as many solicitation calls as possible...........

I text him back. Would you like to buy a coffin for your cousin or possibly a car for your brother as a surprise. Even better what about a snow blower for your California weather!!!!!!

Same thing happened to me with an add on cl. They weren't so concerned on the shape of car and really pushy to buy the car. Big hint was that they kept reassuring me that this was a safe transaction. Good thing we googled the number.

Apparently the cousin likes to boat too as this number wanted to purchase my 30HP boat motor for said cousin through Paypal.  This is the second such Paypal scam in the past 5 days.  Get a life, people!

Received a text message from 4087289921 claiming to be Anne Kramer wanting to buy my chandelier from me for their cousin thru PayPal forwarded me fake emails from PayPal that the money was in my account that I just had to send 700 of my own money to some mover to secure it glad I googled the number

just got  a txt from 408 728 9921, about them buying a car for their cousin as a surprise, they wanted to use paypal major scam.... glad i didnt fall for it something seemed fishy when they contacted me 20 min after my post as well as saying that the person picking up does not deal with cash.

Someone from this number offered to buy my artwork(Craig's list)s for 2500.00. He said(texted) that he will have someone come and pick it up. All he needed was my PayPal link so he can transfer the funds then the movers will contact me after the transaction is complete.it sounded fishy because all he wanted to know wad if the art was in good condition, not size, framed, or anything else!?! Who is this guy?

DON'T DO IT!!!  I got txts from this same number about my Craiglist ad.  This is definatley a scam!  This is telltale Craigslist scam...google Craigslist scam and you will see lots just like it.  These phone numbers are probably not even in the US.  Foreigners get these numbers and use them for texting and email, that's why they will never talk to you.  These scammers are American haters and they do it for no other reason than to stick it to us.

this person wants to buy my car and send a shipment agent and pay per Paypal. I told him i do not do paypal. then the person offered to get the shipment agent a cashier check. What is if it is a fake check. do not know what to do. i have a funny feeling about this.
