I just got same message today 12/23/13, tried returning call, no answer voice mail only.....no idea what this is about. i dont owe any creditors and have never taken out payday loan, as some people in above comments had.

Please check with your state to see what the actual limit is on how long a company can collect on any debt!  Im in Caifornia, ours is 4 yrs.  When this has happened, I informed them of the state law and informed them if they call again, I will file a complaint for harassment.  Besides, I have no agreement with any company than the original debtor....be advised! When Companies "sell off" an old debt to another, it gets sold off again to the highest bidder.....very interesting.  good luck everyone!

Oh I almost forgot....the numbers i was getting are 415-230-2029 and 1-866-258-2480 and his name stated is also Walter Bryce.  Though the name of the company was something like Mentorium Arbitration...I had to listen at least 5 times to confirm that it wasn't County Arbitration.

Hi, I just got the same call today Dec 9th 2013!! I even tried to call it back and no answer except some generic voice mail!  For one thing, a total fake/scam!  It was funny to see the same exact word by word message (obviously computer generated or recorded) that i got on my cell.  I've never had a call like that before nor do i have any check issues!  Im glad I am not the only one who got this call!

same message from both numbers,   same company county arbitrations, i called back after first call, talked to melody parker. second call I answered, melody parker again, but claimed she had not talked to me last time. WHY DOESN'T OUR SO CALLED LEGAL SYSTEM DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS

I just got this same message from a 262 #. When I called back a guy answered the phone as if he was at home. No professionalism at all. I immediately hung up. This is a scam.

I received a message from the number 330-754-0001 from a man that called himself Walter Price....this message said I needed to contact them within 48 hours to resolve and issue from an item that was returned to my bank. I knew RIGHT AWAY this was NOT TRUE! I contacted my bank to protect my account and I attempted to contact this 1-866-252-2480 (which is the return number he told me to call him back at).....NO answer! This needs to STOP. I have been reading TONS of posts about this SAME MAN (Scammer) doing this to other people! How can I get this person or people to be responsible for conning people out of their money! This is just WRONG!

I received the same message today from Walter Bryce. It said it was about an item returned from my bank. I first checked my bank account online to see if there was anything there. Of course there wasn't. I then called my bank and told them what was going on. They checked my account as well and said there have been no returns on my account at all ever. She also told me that I could report them to the Better Business Bureau, which I did. Unfortunately I cannot block the number from my phone as it came up Restricted.  

I received a similar message. The number on my caller ID was 949-286-3974, but the voicemail message came from 213-261-0629. Said I had an outstanding balance with a payday loan. Advised her I took out a payday loan many years ago, but it was paid in full. She read me the last four of my social, which I confirmed. Then asked if I had worked for some media group, which I had not. She advised she would contact the attorney (Walter Bryce) office because they must have wrong information. Promised a "courtesy call" back to me by the end of next week.

Hello this is Walter Brice I'm am calling from county arbitration in regards to a recent bank dispute, you have 24 hours to resolve this matter good luck! Call is coming from 317-644-0889, I knew this was crap right away because like most banks they have their own fraud and dispute department, so annoying people don't have anything better to do than try to scam and scare other people!

I got the message that I had a returned check and when I called they said that I had co signed a loan and that they had prove said it was verbal, banks don't do co-signers verbal agreement, then they told me that it was a credit card collection, Goodluck to this people in hopes that they don't get caught..  they have threaten me with jail and court.  I, myself hope that they get caught and that they do to them what they threatened to do to me, put them in jail and throw away the key.  SCAM ARTIST AT THIER WORST!!!!!

I received a call back in February 2013 with a recorded message saying that there had been fraud committed on my back account and to press 9 to talk to an agent. When I got someone she was very rude and said that I owed 1200 from a payday loan back in 2002. I told her I never took out a payday loan and wanted to know more, she told me she had no further information and they would be suing me. Then she hung up on me. I was scared so I called back and got a lady who said she would help me, but I needed to give her my debit card and I said no. She called back the next day and said they would drop the amount to $200.00 if I could make payments like a fool I agreed not wanting to be sued. 4 months later I tried to call them and the phone was no longer in service. I called my bank and explained what happened they are looking into this. Well today I got a new call from the same office I guess saying I have defaulted and they would be suing me. I told them good luck. THIS HAS TO BE A SCAM!! I am in MO.

If you're saying these people owe you a debt, prove it. That shouldn't be hard. Simply put it in the mail. Right?

Got a call from that same number with exact same message from john spencer...when i called back wjth the case # they gave me a legit old CC acct # and said i owed iver 5k but would settle for $750 tonight...i talked to " investigator Mack" who was rude and hung up on me when i began to question him...they emailed me a "debt information" form on their " official letterhead" with the address of 1776 I st nw 9 fl in DC on top and 1776 1st st nw on bottom an demanded i not contact the original creditor ever...they even knee my car...i called 411 and theyr not listed...i called the building at I st and the shady person at the desk said they are in the 9th floor but that "they said this office doesnt accept phone calls"...the other office number on the letter goes to an airport desk food office...all the phone #s i called from tbis site go to the same ppl at "county arbitration"...theyll get not one cent from me...i asked mr mack who he bought te alleged fake debt from and he said "profile managment inc" and gave me a 518-380-3080 as their #, when i called them the same woman picked up and said it was profile management and i told her id like to speak to an acct manager and she put me to mr mack AGAIN...he works and both BS companies at once...what a scumbag piece of s***..scamming frauds...they dont sound legit and must b stealing old info offline

I called back and asked what company he humg up on me.  He was sarcastic and rude.  I called 888 number her wont answer.

Scumbag scamming debt collector who spoofs many different area codes and phone numbers.

This is the 2nd time I've had a call from "Walter Bryce" (first call was 3 days ago) and I got the same phone number to call.  But this time instead of 48 hours like the first call said, I'm now supposed to have 40 hours to reply or else.

The dead give away that this is telemarketing call is the snarky "good luck" at the end of the message.

Indeed this scam is going around in the cincinnati area as well coming from the number (513) 257-0190

I am receiving this automated message on a regular basis.  The number that shows up on the caller-id is a local number.

Menacing phone messages with a 'Case Number'.  When I returned the call from a different phone and was put on hold for several minutes, then gave the person the 'Case Number', which was 63526, then was told the person they were looking for was 'Brandon Ware', and that he had given them my phone #.  I told them I didn't know anyone by that name, so then the girl asked what my phone # was, and that is when I told her I thought they were a scam and I was going to report them and hung up.  Both phone calls I made, they people got nasty with me.  I hope there is a way to catch these jerks.

I have received this stupid Walter Bryce call up to 6 times a day! Funny that you have 48 hrs to resolve the matter & they call for 4 days straight. Started getting them again this week & called the phone # back. Gave man the "case #" & he asked for some guy. Told him I didn't know him & he said the "state of Ohio will put a cease & desist on that phone #". Right because the state of Ohio is calling me when I live in a totally different state & a phone that is nothing like an Ohio #. Hate these stupid crooks!

Someone called me  at work twice from this number 410 202 2419. Why?

I called the local number back. Advance America payday loan my ex husband did like 8 years ago. He never paid the one under my social security number back.

I found this very same message on my answering machine just now as I walked in my house.  I know that I don't have any issues with my bank; therefore I can only assume this is a scam of some kind.  Personally, I have no intention whatsoever of calling back.

I keep getting recorded calls to call this number back also. But my caller ID show this company calling from this number 213-261-0723. I believe that this company calls from many different numbers and try to call from a number that is local.
