got call from a friend's cell phone but when call came in (410) 382-7626 came on caller id display...when called ended..called num back says non working??

Received 3 calls from this number which I missed each time. When I tried to call back all I got was what sounded like a phone off the hook. STRANGE.

This number 410-382-7626 has come across my caller ID numerous times when a friend of mine calls. Denies using another phone, and upon researching this number I am finding that I am not the only one this is happening to.

I was connected to Social Security's automated system and submitting information for a call back when the system detected my number as being 410-382-7626, even though it isn't. It does seem to be some sort of local routing number, though I was using a cell phone with a different area code.

I just tried activating a new credit card.  When the automated process didn't work and put me to a customer service representative, I asked why.  I was told that this number 410-382-7626 was coming up as the source of the call and that because it wasn't the number the company had registered to me, my call was being routed to a live customer service representative.  I ended the call without revealing any account or personal information but it does seem as if my call was being routed through a filter set up through this suspicious number.

Rec'd call from this #- I said hello, no response.  then they said hello- I acknowledged, but no response.  Happened twice then they hung up.  Called # and it's a non-working number.

I missed a call from this number and didn't recognize it so I decided to look it up.  I called it and it is a non working number.  weird?
