called me today at 4:40PM. Didn't leave a message. called around the same time last week too.

I do not know who this company is nor do I wish to have them call me. Today they called me at 3:51 p.m., 4:58 p.m., and again at 6:11 p.m.

This number called and no answer when i picked up.

They called in the evening and when I answered, hung up on me. Tried to call back twice and got a busy signal both times.

This number calls me around the same time of day...5 pm EST...and when I answer, no one is on the line.

I commented here in April, now its August. Same problem everyday, approx same time. I put on Ans. Machine & it hangs up with precision within a nano second before the machine plays its message. So must be a robo call by a computer.

So now the Ans. Machine stays on, and I NEVER answer unless I'm expecting a call from someone, which is rarely, or pick up if its a real person after the machine starts & I hear them begin to leave a message.

A TRACE says its coming from Solomon Island on MD's Eastern shore. Highly unlikely as its a tiny residentual only island. Must be a transfer point.

Annoying call  two or more times a day at various times, even in the evening.  No one there.  Call back got a busy signal once then another time there was the blah, blah message.

This # called yesterday and didn't leave a message.  Then they call today and when I answered, I said "hello" 3 times before they hung up without responding.  I don't want random's calling me for any reason.  I tried to call the number back and it's just a fast busy signal.  Can't access the website posted here about them either.

got the call in the middle of the workday... hope they don't call repeatedly.  great advice SU... I'll try that next time they call.

Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a "real" salesperson to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Since doing this, my phone calls have decreased dramatically.

Why do people call just to hang up? Is there any way to stop it?

Called back and message said something about it being a "research company" regarding auto-dial calls that I have received.  Grrr...

they call, hold you on phone and hang up - comes up on caller id as CareFirst??

Got called yesterday and today. Nobody on other end. Maybe it's big brother watching!! Or maybe just calling :)

got a call from this number on "my" cell phone but they asked for my husband by first and last name!  i told them they had the wrong number!  :)  i do not want them calling my phone...or my husbands!

Got the call today at 4:38 pm no message left.

got this call around 7 tonight. wasnt around to answer, but looked it up on here and found. kinda crappy to know i'm gettin spammed through my phone but at least it wasn't an important call, lol

Called and I answered, and just like the others no response after 5 seconds, just hung up. Companies sell your number nowadays, notice when you go to say gamestop and when you purchase something they ask for your phone number. Start giving out a fake number to those who have no use for your number and no need to call you.

Called today and I answered, there was silence on the other end for 5 seconds until they hung up. Weird, and do not want these people calling me anymore.

Received a call but no message left. I called them back and got a recorded message stating that this is "SQM Group"...blah, blah, blah. Supposedly they are a customer satisfaction survey group that seeks feedback to improve "organizations." You can remove your number from their calling list if your call them back and follow the prompts. The following is a website address where they say you can learn more about them (if anyone is interested...personally I just want to be left alone!!).

I believe that these guys got my number when I sold an item on craigslist.
