NACA is not a scam.  I check all phone numbers that I don't recognize.  I am not connected to NACA in any way other than the fact that I know people who have been able to purchase homes with the help of NACA.

NACA is a home buyer assistance program.  DOnt kow why they called me.  Maybe because I am in mortgage lending and they are recruiting?

I have to disagree with the completely with this post.  This poster clearly has zero clue about which they are talking.  I used NACA they assisted me into getting my Chase mortgage completely renegotiated.  They were professional and trustworthy.  They do NOT charge any funds up front.  This person below is flat out lying.  I do not work for NACA.  I have zero financial interest in NACA.  Don't listen to this fraud.  I don't like cold calls so I do disagree with that, but as for the substance of what they offer is excellent customer service.  They assisted us in a loan workout and it took about one full year to get it done but NACA got it done.  Don't listen to this person, they just don't have a clue about which they are talking. Check out NACA if you have mortgage issues.  They might just be able to assist.

This is a long, involved infomercial delivered by telephone from NACA, (http://www.naca.com) the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, asking you to come to the Baltimore Convention Center to take advantage of the best mortgage rates in the whole wide world!

Only problem is, they cold-call again, and again! And their VERY long messages are hard to delete because you usually have to listen thru 5 minutes before you have the option to delete on a cell phone. A VERY costly situation!

Whatever their scam, they DO call people on the "Do Not Call" list and try to insist they can help you with your mortgage!  Our mortgage has been paid off for years and the caller insisted he could help us lower our payments.  I finally told him to "go F**K yourself" and he hung up!  I am on the Do not Call List because I don't want to hear from you!

Long, pre-recorded message asking me to attend their mortgage event in Baltimore.

Sorry, but that call is ILLEGAL. You KNOW that it's illegal, but STILL robocall.

What kind of moron gives the kind of personal information that's necessary to get a Mortgage to a company that ignores the law? Two words: a victim.

If NACA is not a scam, what are you doing on 800notes?  You must have had some reason for being on this web site.  I suspect you're a shill for NACA.

I got the very long, very annoying message from these guys tonight. NACA may be legitimate, but who is to say that the callers are really from NACA. It sounded more like a "we want your money" and less like a "we offer services should you need us" type of call. I'm not convinced the call was not a scam. And scam or not, the call was not welcome.

If they are not a scam, why are they randomly calling phone numbers? They are supposed to be helping people in need. Doing robocalls to the general public is not a legitimate activity for a group with its claimed mission. They are apparently organized as a non-profit, which means they fall under the many loopholes in the Do Not Call Act. Because of the tactic they are using, I have to consider them a scam operation.

NACA is not a scam...purchased a home with them in 2010 and got a 4% interest rate. They help people purchase and refinance by acting as an intermediary between the bank and the consumer. Not sure, where you are getting your information but they are one of the good guys and to my knowledge and experience have never requested monies up front.

Naca is not a subprime lender. There are no fees. I was in a bad shape because my wife and I were out of work for over two years through no fault of our own. Naca negotiated on our behalf and after a few tries they helped modify my loan. I have to school age children and my fear of losing my home was justified. I did not pay my mortgage for almost 2 years. I still have my home. I didn't have to add the missed payments on the back end of the loan. My interest was lowered to 4% without a refinance and the bank reduced my principal from 154k to 118k. I do not work for nor represent Naca. But stop the lying about being a phony mortgage reduction scheme. I am still in my home paying less than half of what I used to pay. Naca did not charge me a single penny. I will on behalf of my family and myself be grateful for their help. Please base yourself on fact and not stories you may have heard or read. My experience is firsthand. Social Services, when you are in a situation like i was in when i was applying for food stamps, medicare, tanf etc...will refer you to either HOPE or NACA. The reason? They are both legitimate. So please, before you post make sure you are correct.

Prerecorded messages aren't illegal in Virginia.  What is illegal, however, is leaving a message without an option to opt out.  Not giving you the option to speak with a live person may be illegal, too.  Make sure you note this on your Donotcall.gov complaint....even though reporting it is a waste of time.

NACA is the purveyor of yet another phony mortgage reduction scheme.  Supposedly operated as a non-profit to give it respectability, it is actually a sub-prime lender wanting funds up front for debt reduction, etc. Also uses 410-783-1525.  Address is 1 East Mount Royal Avenue, Baltimore MD 21202.  Complain to the Better Business Bureau.  Frequent, annoying calls from these people with fraudulent intent are another reason why everyone must write, E-mail or fax their elected reps in DC to get the Do Not Call laws completely rewritten to prescribe substantial fines and prison sentences for these animals.  Complaining to the FTC is a waste of time.  Now is a good time to contact your elected reps in DC.  As this is a major elections year, as November gets closer, we can expect to receive increasing numbers of unwanted calls daily from political related liars, firebreathers, nonsense, fruaus & phonies.  Political related calls asking for contributions are to be avoided, as the majority of them will just pocket the money.  Even established campaigns can't be trusted.  Campaign accounts for one elected official were recently embezzled to the tune of $4.2M by her supposedly long time trusted aides, with the funds totally vanished.
