I'm so glad I did my research and found this!  I got a phone call this morning!  The number is 410-387-7729.  This man was also a foreigner and could not speak English very well.  I had a very difficult time understanding him.  He also knew my place of employment, where I banked, address, email address and also the last 4 digits of my SS number.  He said this call was regarding a law suit against me for $200 from an online payday loan I had received in August of 2011.  This was a lie!  At first I thought well this was a year ago, so I looked back at my statements and I have not!  His name was Ryan Stifler.  After reading other peoples' comments, I now know to go to the police dept and file a complaint.

I recieved a call from 410-387-7729 from Sean Taylor saying the same thing about my SSN showing that there was a lawsuit against me and needed to get additional information in order to "... settle out of court, unless going to court is what you prefer..."

This gentleman keeps calling my place of business and harrassing me, asking to speak with my manager and is telling me I will be fired. I do not have any outstanding debts with any of these companies

I received a call to my cell phone from a foreigner stating they were calling from the Illinois State Police Department and if I knew a David Cooper, I informed no. He proceeded to say that I would need to contact David Cooper at 410-834-2877 to prevent from a warrant being placed for my arrest, but couldn't give me any information. I contacted the number another foreigner answered, I asked where was I calling repeatly to no avail. Theyjust kept asking for my name, I hung up. They then called back stating that they were calling from the Federal Crime Department, I know personally I have not commited any Federal Crime and stated if they have any claims against me, send a  subpoena to my home, and I will be reporting them to authorities.

do not give this person any info copy and print all tis page and take it to the police and file a report this person is a hacker and a scam artist for identity theft

They can be outside the country with a Maryland number if they get a VOIP interface such as a Vontage internet phone.  My brother signed up for Vontage and took the box to afghanistan with him. We could still call his local number and get connected.

I recieved a call from a foreigner claiming to be Stu matthews for social security dept and it even showed up on my caller id as such but when I asked for confirmation as to who he was representing he said adma law firm. I asked him to repeat it, who he worked for, he said the law firm name again and I called him on it and said that he had just told me he worked for the social security administration, so who did he really work for, he faltered, then said the law firm again. I asked repeatedly why he lied and said the soc sec dept, he said something with a accent that made his words jumbled and I said simply that I was going to report his company for using the soc sec office cover and manipulating the phone system to not show a true number where he was calling from. I have dealt with this similarly in the past and they always demanded that there was a lawsuit against me yet evertime I asked to recieve any confirmation via email or fax they say they cannot, I call Bull*#@@, if they can't back it up in writing or show proof they should leave me alone and go to hell...............

I got a call today as well only the number was from4108342878 This person was male and did not speak english very well but he had my ssn my address my work number that i just started, like I just started my job today and he called my work. I told him I am going to talk to a lawyer before I say anything, then I talked to lawyers, and the prosecutor, and one of the instructors at my school, this is a scam, I was told to go to the police and make a report so make sure you guys do this to get this sob

I have been getting these threatening phone calle from 410, 619 and 407 area codes for 5 days telling me they are going to send police to my employment and my home to arrest me. I have blocked the calls from my phone but they come up with other phone numbers to call from.

I recived several threathening phone calls from this number telling me they are going to sue me and go to my work place and I will lose my job, they are continuing to call daily and to harrass me. I have contacted a lawyer and will follow up in a few days.

I received a call today at home while I was sleeping from a (410)834-2877 number and then received a message from work that they called, his name was Officer Raymond and he was with Maryland something the recptionist could not understand the rest.  I tried to call back and got that the extension was not available.

they have called me at work and also at home saying that i have a law suit agaist me and they are going to press charges against me i reported them to the fbi and was told they are using routers to have different numbers in the states they are a ware of the problem and even have them listed on there scam list

I've been getting phone calls from this guy goin by the name Nick Foster who barley can speak English claiming that I had money deposited into my bank account from a  pay day cash advance place! So I called my bank to see if had any deposits and there was none! So he called back and I told him and argued with him but he still claims that there was a deposit and I will be getting sued for the amount of $580 he also gave me an email address goin by the name Alf1 I'm goin crazy here and its driving me nuts! But I've read all the posts and now I'm tripping out that I wasn't the only one that these people called!

I have received two calls within an hour .  They left voice mail stating they were from law firm and I was being sued for fraudulent crap something about three different counts.  I have delt with them before they are usually really rude when they do not get there way.  I know its a scam and they wont get a dime from me.  They really need to be arrested and taken care of this because it is gettin really rediculous.

These people have all the information they need to steal your identity. You will need to contact your bank, Social Security, and the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Trans Union etc.) and have a fraud alert put on your account, otherwise any time you make money these people can go right in and steal it.

I appplied for a payday loan. They bounced my account. I paid addtl 75.00 of NSF charges they have my info. like social security. They are non-english speaking . constatntly threatens sueing me. going to jail.. blah. blah blah. i threatened them and hung up . I told them in the U.S. you do not go to jail for bills.
They something about a lawyer. Good-Bye

If any of you have done business with payday loan companies, they are probably to blame.  I, too, am receiving these calls and they didn't start until AFTER I had agreed to take out payday loans.  Either they are selling the information to these guys or their websites are not secured and they are being hacked into.

Contact the attorney general's office of your state, contact the FTC and contact the IC3, which is the White Collar Crime Division of the FBI.  Try to write down the times and dates of the phone calls and any other information about the calls and add to the reports, if you can.  Then they have a documented history of the harassment and abuse.  

You may want to consider changing your cell and home phone numbers.  I know it's a pain, but it might give you some peace.  That's what I'm considering.  If they call you at work, alert your supervisors that you are receiving these calls so they are aware.  I have my co-workers put the calls in a bogus voice mail and then I can listen to the call after so I can determine if it's legit or not.

I am recieving harrassing phone calls at least 6 times daily from this number for someone who I dont know. Please STOP.

This person keeps calling me also with the same linebut i plain on putting an end to it right now

called me and said his name was adam smith from adma and laurence law firm!  complete bull! non existing in maryland or where ever!
tried to say i owed 629.00 to pay right now or else i would be sued from a cash company in california for nothing less then 3200.00!  i was kinda bying into it for a couple seconds until i notice that i had never recieve s*** from anybody in california, nor anybody else for that amount, nor close to that amount

this guy or group of guys are using false cell phones and calling from out of the states somehow!
my goal from this day frwd is to make calls back to him anytime i had have a sec. to do so!! my family lawyer is going to try and get this retard taking money from people that do not kno any better!!

These people are calling me about a cash advance that I never received. They want personal info from me and I'm so not giving. How do we stop these type of fraudulent actions these people can use our info for anything.

i received the same phone call. it started on my husbands safelinks phone and now our home phone.

I received a phone call this morning and the man say that there's a lawsuit upon my name and read me the last four digits of my social..i can't believe this. They say that if I don't pay back the money I borrowed they'll face me in court...and the man that called doesn't really speak good english. And told me to send the money thru western union.I can't believe that this is happening to me. What should I do?

I have been having fun having different friends crank call them and call  them Muslim pig Fu*k#rs! Not only that I personally called and asked for the one who left a voice message. When he answered I told him I had done a very bad thing and because he called me trying to pull a scam that I just burned down the local mosque after chaining shut the doors. And that he should have heard those muslims screaming like the pigs they were as they burned to death!! You shoulda heard the dead silence,especially when I asked him if he felt they died as Martyrs for his cause. And that if he ever contacted me again I would go on a muslim shooting spree and take down a few more. Obviously this whole thing never happened,but it was fun to make the little pig fuc*er squirm!!

They called me and told me the same story, only the guy with the heay accent told me that his mane was paul anderson from Adma and Lawerance Law Firm, Annoplis MD and he had my last four and they said theyere las a legal action over my social security number and they were filling an afidavit with the court if I didn't pay them for it?

This number called me and advised me in an Indian accent that there was a subpoena to court coming to me and that I was being charged with Theft of services. I allowed him to verify my address but refused to verify my last 4 digits of my social security#. I feel better seeing this site now I know its a scam and I'm not the only intended victim.

Like you Babs and Jessica, I got a call today saying that according to my ssn number there is a lawsuit coming to me and there's 3 counts that will be filed in California. He used the name Brian Coleman and the email address of allf@lawyer.com. He told me I had by the end of the day to take care of this matter. He told me the name of the agency was CashConnect and I told him I hadn't heard of that and he said they had many different names.
