They called me and I do not own a Nissan and never have so what is up ?

Got an automated call from 410-968-9961 offering a better interest rate on my credit card, as low as 6.99%...uh, what credit card and who are you...and what company are you with?! Pressed 2 to not be contacted again!

Well I just got a call, didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I do not own a Nissan - never have and no one in my family owns one either.

no, just e-mail them and ask them if they know what the difference is between dog$hit and obama. when dog$hit gets old, it turns white and stops stinking.

This is merely a satisfaction survey company. When you have dealings with a Nissan company they inform you of a call coming for you to complete a survey. IT IS NOT A SCAM!

They keep calling me as well.  I called back and got a phone number of their "Do Not Call List" and here it is:  800-864-8601 and press 5, and enter in your cell or landline number.  The 'automated' systems says to give them 3 days to add your number to the "do not call list".  It's some firm Nissan Corp. hired for marketing/surveying purposes...sheesh :(

i also recently bought a nissan and receive calls from this # every day.

Just got this call at 2pm on a Saturday and did not answer.  They did not leave a message, but I looked up the number here.
***I had a bunch of service work done on my Nissan at the dealership about a week ago (computer went out).
***The computer was still covered by warranty so I didn't end up paying anything for that.  
***They also did my regular servicing ( I have a 5-year service package) which was free also.  
***I did pay for a new set of tires while they had the vehicle there and they mounted them for me.
If it's actually Nissan calling, it could have been for any of those things.

Been getting calls from 410-968-7904 everyday. Just googled the number and saw these posts. I just bought a Nissan. Must be them. They don't leave a message and I don't answer calls from unfamiliar numbers who don't leave messages.

Got a car from Nissan last week and started to get calls from this number 2.. :( Should I be worried???

Its a company called Merit Research to survey you on purchasing a Nissan or Infiniti automobile.  Its good to be weary but some of these posts are unfounded and crazy.

After investigating the phone number from the caller of (410)968-7904 I have discovered that the phone number is associated with a IP address from Qwest in New Mexico I also attempted to do a reverse phone number with an error of ‘‘Please use a US phone number’’ This looks like a very serious scam that someone has hacked information from Nissan recent purchases, DO NOT ANSWER THIS PHONE NUMBER.

Other references for this number state that the telephone number is a cell phone based out of VERIZON out of CRISFIELD, MD.
My suggestion is not to answer this phone number.

I recently purchased a Nissan (October 2009) and have been getting tons of calls from this number.  So far, I haven't answered it and don't intend to.

Hey, I got a call from this number today and I do believe they are associated with Nissan. I Have a Nissan and recently got service. I got a note in the mail as well, alerting me to expect a phone survey. Since I was one another call and didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer it. I'll tag it in my contacts and update this thread if I get another call...

I recently had my Infiniti serviced at an Infiniti dealership (same one I've always gone to) and I have now received a call from this number as well. Most likely for a survey or some other type of customer service related follow-up. Note to Nissan corporate - would save you money to only send me notes in the mail that I can ignore, rather than employing a more expensive outsourced call center which I will still ignore...

they keep calling my cell 3 times a day. i recently purchased a nissan in june 2010 but i dont plan on taking any surveys. havent answered the call and dont plan to.

I just saw on the top of this posting that was back in Apr of 2010 that the calls were originating from someone who had recently hacked in to Nissan info about new car purchasers. Well it is now September 2010 and i just bought a new Nissan and apparently it is still happening... Not cool to hear.

You people are idiots. You answer the phone once, tell them you're not interested, then they stop ringing. It takes two seconds. By deliberately not answering the call, you're just wasting everyone's time.

It is from Nissan, they were calling to follow up on my service that I had done recently.

I received a call from this number last night and no one was on the other end.  Since it was Nissan Infiniti, and I since I have a Nissan I called it back.  There was nothing at the other end.  Now my phone is hung up and I can't use my phone.  How can this get stopped?
