Claiming to be duquesne light.  I'm calling duquesne light every time I get one and complaining until the get them to stop.

They did hang up when I started repeating their phone number.  412-532-0175.  They did not answer.

I really would like to push to file charges of harassment they call all times of the day and 4-5 times aday even after I have asked them to not call anymore

I have a habit of cursing an entire boiler room, and hopefully even the cells in their bodies will throw up from listening to the curses. Sharp curses tend to affect the future generation of these callers. Due to the intensity of these curses, a mutated caller would end up creating a far worse mutated offspring BUT the offsprings will be so disabled that they won't be to operate a computer like their screwed up mommy's and daddy's.

That's the exact thing I tell everyone. Just don't pick up the call. If people have time to play around with the callers, picking up the call works but then the callers refuse to stay on the line for long knowing that they'll get screwed back to the dark ages.

We are all brainwashed to want to jump up and answer the phone when it rings. We have to un-brainwash ourselves. Here's how:

Stop before you pick up the call. Look at the Caller ID. Does it show a name and/or number or no number that you recognize? Do not pick up the call!

If by some chance you do pick up the call, hang-up immediately. If you hear the message, and it tells you to push a particular button, do not push any button. Hang up immediately!

Report the call information to the FCC call complaint site. You may think that this serves no purpose, but persistence does produce results. See the forums here at 800notes and see the stories about how some spammers, scammers, and phishers are being shut down -- even if only for a while. They ARE being shut down.

I have been getting several phone calls from this number for about a month and its very aggravating as I'm not well and I lie down during the day sometimes. When I've answered it a recording comes on about my saving money on my electric bill .  If I want to opt out of these calls the recording says "press 1 to not receive any more calls " and it'll  take 24 hrs for this to happen. But that's never the case. I called my electric supplier and they said to call the BBB and report it to the Atty Gen'ls Office.

these a***oles call me 2-3 times everyday.  finally had to block their #.

I am tired of these people calling. Sometimes 5 times a day or more if I hang up on them. Client Services..how to lower your electric bill or cardholder services, how to lower your interest rates. These people hang up on me, or when I call back an automated voice asks if you want to be removed from their listing to press 1 and it will take 24 hours. That was 5 months ago and they still call.

Get a call twice a day from this number saying I am eligible to receive discounts on my electric bill.  I hung up twice yesterday.  Today I pressed 0 to talk to an operator and I was hung up on.

I then called the number and got a recording that stated if you want taken off the do not call list to press 1.  I did this so hopefully they won't call anymore.

I do not understand why they keep calling my private number.

incessant phone call daily from a company saying my peco bill is eligible to switch service providers.  I'm on the do not call registry and this number keeps calling.  There's no option to have them opt-out of future calls.  It's a pre-recorded message and it only asks you to hit '1' if you are interested.

They call every day several times a day - I work from home so hugely annoying - today I pressed the # signed (they wanted my electric bill) - I told them to stop calling me they were a little perturbed said they would take me off the list but I doubt it.

Just received a call from this phone #..........I don't answer ANY calls I don't recognize the number, but they left no message & I have no intention of calling them back to see what they wanted!  Why do we even have a DO NOT CALL list?  It does not even work!  Drives you crazy!

Receiving calls from this number maybe once or twice a week. Never anyone where when I answer and if I don't, no message. Called back and received prompt to be placed on "their" Do Not Call list.

Have been getting several calls a day from 412-532-0175, leave no message. Finally answered the last one, it is a "Robocall" saying "You can lower your Duquesne Light bill by switching, press 0 to speak to an (?)"
I hung up at that point.

This company stated that they were Duquesne Light CO. When I told them not to call they hung up...

Calls and leaves no message.  Don't answer the phone if I don't know the number.

When "telemarketers" hang up on you when you ask simple questions such as: "Who are you?" and "What is your phone number?" you should be suspicious.

When they launch into profanity you can be absolutely sure you're talking to criminals.

Either way you've dodged a bullet and should be grateful that you managed not to be ripped off.

said they were duquesne light and wanted to lower my rate.  They asked for my electric bill with accont number, name, etc.  When i said they should have all of that since they called me, they hung up immediatley.  Obvious scam.

No message was left but when I called the number the only choice was to press 1 to be taken off of the call list.

I'm on the do not call list -- a lot of good that does.

They call everyday, I let it go to the fax machine.

These calls are so annoying. They call all day long, even after I've made clear that I'm not interested in switching electric companies. I'm also a bit on edge with wonder as to how they got my phone number, since I have an unlisted, private number. I filed a complaint with Do Not Call, since my number is registered with them.

There needs to be stricter laws against telemarketing harassment.

Theft is illegal but it still happens. If laws were real strict, I am sure this will stop. For example, the fear of hands being removed as a punishment will stop a scammer from harassing, stalking and ripping people off.

Why can't these calls be made illegal?
