After numerous attempts to stop these harassing calls, we.took our vacation to Burmese, in an attempt to locate and apprehend this horrid creature. The United States still officially refers to it as Burma, and that is where the caller was traced to. The local authorities were easily enlisted through a bit of graft to aid our search and find this wretched creature. After several days of traveling through various towns and comparing our phone records to their local phone carrier  (again more graft), we were successful in locating him.. Not wanting to soil ourselves, we enlisted the locals militia (more graft), to run him out of town, so he now resides 300 miles from the nearest cell tower. We did run over his feet before we left; best vacation ever.

automated! keeps calling and asking for john anderson. third call already today and i am on the state AND national do not call lists. they also call from 412-567-9002.

i got a rep (who knows from what company!) and screamed at her to take my number off the list. she could barely speak english!!!

Just received a call from this number at 6:04 p.m. I did not answer and after three rings they hung up. If they keep calling and harassing me, I will report them to the Do Not Call Registry. I was being annoyed by myriad calls from Appleby Systems, Inc. for months (sometimes two or three calls a day). I reported them to the Do No Call Registry and the calls finally stopped. I did have to file two reports, though, before those calls finally stopped. Another trick is to just pick up the receiver but don't say anything, lay the phone down in a quiet room and just walk away for half an hour or so. It is my understanding that when you do this, the calling party cannot disconnect from their end and the line remains open and THEY get BILLED for it. Serves 'em right!  ;-)

This number belongs to the PA Firefighters Association, Someone here actually talked to the guy last week and told him no and he didn't have the time to chat with him.  So since then they keep calling without leaving message on machine.  Hangs up after three rings, will go on all day and into the night.  Like I posted earlier I answered then and waited till he said something and then hung up on him, hopefully that will stop it.  will let ya  know if it worked or not or makes it worse.  What a pain.

Keep getting this phone number constantly all day long and night never leave message on machine or lets it ring three times hangs up and then calls 15 minutes later keeps going like that for a week now.  Today I picked up on this "local call back" number and I didn't say anything for about 5 minutes before I heard a man say "hello" on the other end and then I HUNG UP.  See how he likes it and if he continues to call back.  What a pain in the a**, when I am waiting for far more important phone calls then him.  Waste of my time what the heck, any way to stop this???

I get this call all the time also.  Do not donate to these people.  Donate to your LOCAL fire department as they are the ones who will help you in a time of need.

They have been calling for months now. never leave a message. Thank God for Caller ID.

Asked for the man or women of the house. Said they were not home but outside starting a fire. It was an American Firefighter's Asoociation Charity looking for a donation. Women hanged up when I said to remove the number they called...may she burn in Hell for being rude!

These vermin called twice within four days to us, way over in Union County, PA.  We have submitted a detailed report/complaint to the Attorney-General's office.  We did not answer the phone after seeing the number on caller ID.

Got a call tonight but hung up when answering machine came on. Checked with People Search,it's a land line in Pittsburgh PA . Just got this phone as we moved guess the cable company already sold it as we have gotten numerous phone calls that hang up when machine comes on . Will have to register with DO NOT Call List 1 888 777 3406.Calls do decrease after about 2 weeks.

Level 3 Communications.  Dialed Number came as a recorded message as Pa professional Fire Fighters.
this is nuts.   If someone can read this message and stop them from calling  I'd deeply appreciate that  I have received 2 phone calls from these people.

Amazingly enough, the PPFFA does identify openly that Xentel is conducting telemarketing in several counties.  The cancer of robocalls has expanded beyond the counties they list as areas to be annoyed, and has metastasized as far east as Union County.  We got three rings without a pickup, and read the number on caller ID.  Its "identification" reads LOCAL CALLBACK (whatever the eff that might mean!)
Maybe if their nuisance goes unanswered, the fools will think that its an inactive number?

If you are on do not call list contact the attorney generals office in harrisburg.  you could get money if they are sued by the state for calling the do not call list

Call came in at 5:59PM,Pittsburgh PA as soon as machine picked up,they hung up.

Its a fundraising company called Xentel Inc, hired by the Pa Professionl Firefighters Association, which is actually a non profit arm of a union group. The ppfa website confirms they hired these bozos. Best you can do is email the PPFA, telling them that you used to donate but won't anymore, because they hired an obnoxious fundraising group.

Phone rang during the supper hour: 5:59p.m.  I merely looked at the number, did not recognize it, and did not answer!  I checked to see if that unanswered call prompted a voice message; didn't happen.  That's when I figured out it was a telemarketer........I HAVE AN UNLISTED NUMBER........SO WHY??????????????????????

Isn't there anything that can be done to stop whoever it is that is calling from this number?  I am soooo tired of them calling....everyday. There message claims it is Information for the Professional Firefighters Assoc.

Yeah same here. We've donated twice. After about the 17th call after our second donation my wife just flipped out on the guy and we havn't recieved any more calls...until just a few minutes ago.

Got a call from this number on 7/20/11 and the Caller Id said:  Local Call Back and the woman said they were calling for our local firemen and police to donate-I told her no and to take me off their list.

We receive calls from this number daily, and sometimes multiple times a day.  If we answer the phone we hear background noises and then get a hang up.  

Any questions about who is calling that are asked before the hang-up are ignored.  

If the number goes to voice mail either no message is left or a shot message with just static or noise is left.  Hugely irritating.

Just keeps calling and no message, just calls every day.

Call numerous times everyday, firefighters collection or something, they never really specify. Why would I donate to something where I don't even live?

Female asked for owner -- when asked what call was about, she stated she was calling for the firefighters.  I hung up.

Got called by this number this morning at 11:39 am and no message left. The caller id was local call back which told me it was a telemarketer. If you decide to use verizon to trace the number to put an end to it do not waste your time. I can speak from experience that verizon will not cooporate with you or the local police dept. They take the position of protecting their customer's identity and they will not give any info to any police dept even though they tell you they will. If you use their *69 to trace the number you are just giving verizon an additional 3.00 for no service. We are on our own to deal with these type of companies.
