Well, I don't have a Citizens or Charter account of any kind, so why are they calling me, twice in 2 minutes because I was away from my phone?

It is Citizens Bank in PA. Legitimate call. They were calling me back because I reported a connectivity issue with my newer iphone and their mobile app that I downloaded.  

I work in fraud detection at another bank. We are not law inforcement, please don't expect us to go out and arrest someone. If someone refuses to speak with us there isn't much more we can do. We try to reach out as soon as these breeches occur. Its a shame - but be advised we are calling you, if you are skeptical I understand but DONT expect us to give out your information over the phone. Go into your branch location and verify if you are worried.

Sounds like they were trying to help you and you didn't heed their warning, no?  Why wouldn't you take precautions and shut off your card?  That number is, in fact, from Citizens and Charter One Bank.

Received two calls from this number. First call was not answered. Second call answered, woman asked for "William". Informed her she had the wrong number. She hung up.

I am so worried bcuz I just received a call from this phone# and yesterday I found out I had unauthorized withdrawals on my account from some "Save & Go" company. This company gave me overdraft fees and when I googled the company, it's posted as some crazy scam. The scam works as soon as you make a purchase of one of those infomercials. In my case I had bought "Hydrolyze skin cream" but heres the catch, when the machine prompts you "do u wish a rebate if u dont like the product" and you reply 1 for yes (see I saw the commercial and called omn my phone and the purchase was thru an automated system), they tak eit upon themselves to sign you up for some crazy membership of $15 per month and they continue to take this out for as long as they can, until you catch on. Anyway, I went online and googled "Save & Go" and they are some crazy fraudulent company w/ more complaints then I could have imagined. Hence, this phone# is Citizens Bank to probably call and tell me my account has been further breeched and I hope I dont have 2 go thru what u did.

That was Citizens Bank calling

Received a call October 17, 2009 at 9:02PM from this number.
A woman stated that my Charter One account in Ohil was breeched using my name, social security number and date of birth!
I ask her what is my name, she said my name.
I ask her if she is so sure this is  me, give me a couple of the number of my social security or since she knows my date of birth, what is it.
She then said, this is a courtesy call, and the law does not allow me to discuss anything else, that this is just a warning courtesy call.
When I tried to pursue this, she hung up!
Between 10/17 and 10/20, the crooks had breeched my account 16 times before it got shut off! They opened up an account in PayPal, Discouver, and have tried to do 2 wire transfers with a local Charter One Bank and that bank has not as of this writing filed a police report for the attempt of fraud using the TTY Ohio Relay System.
I am hitting zero in help to track these numbers from the bank, the police, the attorey's general's office.
The banks jut pay the money and don't want to invest any pay to lawyers to stop these identity frauds, these breeches of our lives.
It is no wonder in this USA so much of this is going on, we the customer have to investigate, to perservere, and have too many stumbling blocks with no help but ourselves in tracking down these varmits!
