IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH ASK FOR A CARD NUMBER

It is US Financial Resources...414-203-0032 I recently did some research on US grants and this is what I got a call about a couple of months later.  They say I am eligible for so many US Grants all I have to do is pay $3.87.  So I decided to do some internet research on this company none of it is good.  He is calling later this week back and I will for sure say nope I am not giving you my credit card and take my number off your list.

This number has called me three times today.  Since I never answer calls from a number I don't recognize, I let them listen to the answering machine.  Caller ID says "not available".  
They never leave a message.  This screams "scam" to me.

i just filled out a  FAFSA application last week to start college in the fall and also had this number call me twice today. when i questioned the man that was clearly not american working for the govt,  he hung up on me. i plan to report this to someone at my college and FAFSA because they are the only places where this phone number would have recently been listed. i hope some young kid applying for college does not get sucked into this scam.   BTW i also tried to call back and was asked to give a card number...scammmm!

that is happening to me to from the same number. thick accent. he said his name was steve and then said he had federal grant information. then said something inappropriate and i hung up

Caller with THICK Hispanic accent calling about education grants. No one here applied for or requested any such thing. Asked for a specific person. Might have got name/number from craigslist.

I have been getting the SAME EXACT thing.  when we answer, they hang up! when we call back, we get asked for a card number.  My phone is just BLOWING UP from this place.  Who is it????

someone is looking for someone that used my phone number before I told them to quit calling me and they refuse to and when I try to call back it just demands a card number
