Wow really glad I looked up the number first, this number just offered me $1,000 over my asking price and i thought it seemed a little fishy.

Received a text from this number in response to a craigslist ad i posted.
This person is obviously a scam artist. Claims to be out of the country, refuses to give a name and
offers extra money to do business. Beware of these people

"(1/3)Alright,i would have love to come pick up the item myself and pay cash but presently am out of state for business i am a member of United State Marine (2/3)Corps (USMC) so i was posted away for some weeks that's why i said you would help me make inquires ship to my friend and i will offering you $420 and i (3/3)will include $100 for shipping and handling to him via USPS Air mail..am willing to pay you PayPal upfront,do u have PayPal? " of course I did not give any info. Just lied and said I didn't have a pay pal. Thanks to this website that my boyfriend sent me

Got a text early this morning from someone claiming to be in the Marines wanting to buy an item I put on Craigslist. They offered more than the asking price to include shipping. All I had to do was send them my Paypal email address. I don't know how many people will see this message but I was suspicious. I did not give out any information. When I questioned them on payment they got very defensive and somewhat pushy on wanting my info. Please beware if you receive a text from this number.

Got a spam text from this number in reply to an ad for something I was selling on craigslist. They were trying the whole "I'm overseas in the Marines, can you ship the item to my friend" scam.
