I had a few same calls at different time. The recording said the same thing that I have unpaid check but I did not have any. This is absolutely a scam. Is there a way to stop this scam?

Scam call for service of summons to a "Hillary Hart," which is not the person associated with my phone number. A notice of Service of Summons should not be made via cellphone any way, as an official process server would know.

Received a phone call (recording) claiming to be a "Linda Richardson" with papers to serve regarding a "bad check" and wanted to arrange a place to meet but since they didn't reach me (???) they would attempt to serve me at my home or place or employment. Now, aside from the fact that i haven't had a check even bounce, let alone remain unpaid for over 20 years at this point, I don't know of any process server who wouldn't just "serve me"!
This is obviously just a scam and a manipulation tactic form some scum-sucking debt collector...my advice to anyone else who gets one of these ridiculous calls is to just ignore it - that's exactly what I intend to do...if they ever end up "serving me" I'll be happy to face them in court.
