I got a similar call while I was out and the caller identified himself as Justin Johnson from IRS Tax resolution and to call him immediately regarding a very sensitive issue regarding taxes owed and if I didn't call back there would be legal consequences.  He had a very strong Indian accent, very difficult to understand.  Do not answer if they call but report to IRS and FBI.

I have received two VM on my phone from 1-415-230-2877 telling me not to ignore and to call right away before litigation!!  I am having some tax issues and have been dealing with the state and IRS but of course imagine my fear that the case was handed over and I need to contact someone right away.  First I could not understand the person at all on the message -- I had to try several different numbers as the one that was showing up on my phone caller ID was no in service and I was thinking that maybe that number was not a number you could call back --- but then I googled the number and I am reading all of your message here -- so it seems as though this is a scam and I should report it!!

This is a scam - how can we report this and have these people arrested for impersonating Federal Employees

Just got a call. I have a feeling this is related to Target. I'm getting strange calls on my cell as well. Not going to return the phone call. If the IRS needs to get in contact with me, they know where I live.

Andrew White, can't understand his message. It's out of California. He's downright annoying. I told him the person he is asking for does not live here, but he continues to call. I believe if the IRS is looking for you they will call you and not get a collections agency with a bunch of clowns that speak broken Englisho harass you. If he keeps calling I'll be reporting him to the FTC.

Got a call  fron this number 1415 230 2877 yesterday, fist they asked for some Alvardooo Albardoo and ordering me  to grab pen and "pencil" to take a mesage lol I didn't get what he was saying, he's English was even worse than mine; then, I figured he was trying to say Alberto which is my husbands name. I assumed it was one of my kids playing a joke on us and I player along took that message and waited for the punch line, but he finally said "to not disregarded the message and call him as spoon as pussyball" before any legal actions and hung up.
Today he called again twice, First her hung up when I answered and the second time he just left a very threatening message, of course with that horrible accent and same argument say in he was from  I X  litigation (or navigation ) department and not to record the message. Go figure ....

A Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese or whoever this Asian foreigner is (because they all sound the same to me) called my number and left a message which I didn't understand a word beside IRS so I decided to check the number and realized that it's all a scam. The people doing this are so stupid and ignorants that they try to pass for IRS representatives but the people making the calls are a bunch of alliens making minimum wage and probably from the San Francisco, China Town area since they all have a terrible and very poor command of the English language. The digits 415 is a California telephone area code and it serves San Francisco and its northern suburbs in Marin County.

Got call from 415 230 2877. Called police and it is a scam.

What you are describing is the same thing that happen to me. I think by returning the call probably we will be charged a fee. That is the only thing that makes sense

Same call, same foreign accented guy as others, same Taxes due line. What's weird is he never asked for payment of any kind...

My friend got a call from this number. He said his name is Hollis Jackson and that she owes 16,000 to IRS and will  be arrested. She is making a report to attorney general and I suggest everyone else call their police department and report or ask for procedure.

Same thing just happened to me. When I initially picked up the phone, it was "dead", so I hung up, but then a voicemail came through for someone named Randell and then my surname (no-one here named Randell). Sounded as though he was from the Indian subcontinent and was VERY hesitant. Said his name was Michael Morgan, Tax Litigation Department and that there  were deficiencies in my income tax. Advised me or my attorney to call this number before legal action is taken, then gave a reference number. Said I shouldn't try to record the message -- what a dope!  Surely no-one would believe this is legitimate.

Got a call from 415 230 2877 from a guy who seemed like English was not his native language. He claimed to be from IRS but seemed hesitant, uncertain and had wrong name for family member. Did not seem professional.

The whole thing didn't smell right. I was going to look up real phone number for IRS and get verification but figured it was a waste of my time.

I got same call from same person yesterday claiming they were from IRS. When I questioned them, they hung up. I kept calling them they blocked me. Later in the day, the number was disconnected. Today I got called with a similar number. They won't answer a return call. It's all a scam. Ignore it
