Funny, but try a silent message. If it is an auto mass caller machine, it may use the sound of the "line disconnected" message as proof that someone is there. That will make them call you more. The silence is equally good for real people. It will confuse them. For live people you can also try a message that sounds like the same thing a person would hear while the phone is ringing. This would make it sound like it is still ringing when it is not. This wouldn't fool machine because they can tell when the answering machine kicks in because then the line will be "connected".

Got this call, but did not recognize so did not answer.  Looked up Area Code...someplace in Florida Panhandle.  I do not know anyone there.

Yes, I to am getting these called from foreigners with inane questions. I have fun witrh them while I can, and if I have the time. I have cellophane, so I crinkle it and interject occasional words such as: "I am", "excellent if I could...", etc, etc. Sometimes I say nothing and listen to them eveentually say "Halo?...Halo...? Next I might give them a blast of the airhorn if I can find one.

I have been receiving numerous calls from this number and others with the same offer of free herb supplements from a vitamin company.
I told them I never requested this offer and don't want it but they keep calling me all day and into the night.
I have called them back several times and hung up without saying anything after they give their typical offer.
I am also getting calls that have a phone number with one number missing...

They called me 4 times today after being told every time not to call back. I advised them that if they call again that we were going to be contacting the police and reporting their harrasment.
