Funny. They called a phone I don't use that much and I just noticed I had voicemails on it. I called the # back and it says...,.. The magic jack phone # is not in service. To funny. Would love to meet these people face to face.

These low lives called me and just like with every other people on this forum couldn't understand them. Called their number back and all I got was that the number was not in service. Just a spoofed number. Isn't it a shame that a person can't even answer their phone these days. You answer the phone and just open PANDERAS BOX on scam calls coming your way.

A man with Indian accent left message and claimed that I owed IRS tax and asked myself or my attorney to contact him as soon as possible.

The same gentleman contacted me this morning saying that the police would be in my house to arrest me for tax fraud. He told me to get my lawyer ready and he was indeed from the IRS I called the IRS identify that he was a scam I contacted my local police authority and made them aware as well

Scam call pretending to be from the IRS

Someone with a heavy accent called about tax litigation. Asked me to call 415-251-8080. This got to be a scam as I am sure I have no tax issues with IRS. Don't be fooled by these crooks.

same happan yesterday with me, i hang up phon and they call me again he why hang up, same thing he said me ,i go the guy where i fill the tax, he said first the irs send your latter, this pepole really bad,dis      ..............

Have received TWO calls from 415-251-8080 - in two successive days - telling us we owe back IRS money and if we don't pay it, legal action will be taken.  Now that I've found this website, if he calls again, I'm going to go way over the line in terms of civility (today I threatened to call the Police on them because I knew it was a crank call).

I just received a call from this number 2 times.  The first time I hung up.  The same number called back so I said hello.  The Indian person said he was from the Internal Revenue Service and wanted to speak to my dad who passed away in 2003.  I told him I was my dad and he said he wants me to pay my taxes from 2 years ago.  I told him he was full of s*** and he told me to go to hell and hung up.  

Everybody, PLEASE be careful.  Most calls today are SCAMS.  

These people called me claiming pending litigation from the IRS and that if I did not pay the debt immediately, the Sherriff would come arrest me this week. I have never received any type of notice from the IRS concerning this and I have not even worked for 7 years now, no income to claim.

i  have recieved the  same call today. This fraud is amazingly stupid. This fraud says stuff about tax.

I received a call from a person called Santa Palmer saying that I have miscalculated my taxes and I have not paid the taxes properly. However I received a notification earlier during the month that my tax form has been accepted. In the call they harassed me by saying that if I do not pay the money back I might get arrested by the Sheriff of the area. My license and passport will be cancelled if I do not replay the taxes.

Got a call from this number guy claiming to be ricky Johnson gave me ref# and to call back and talk with Mike carter called back another man answered told ne i was go n to be arrested tomorrow by local authorities if i didnt pay 15,236 today so i googled number and here i am reporting to local authorities

I really hope there is some way to track these folks. The number says California but I am sure it is getting directed from somewhere. The voice is definitely not an american. It is different nationality sounds very much call center voice with american accent.

I received the exact same call this evening. The man had such a heavy accent that I couldn't really understand what he was saying, but I did make out that he was talking about taxes and making threats about litigation.
This is a SCAM.
How can we fight these scammers back ? It is located in San Francisco, CA. Can any state departments or Federal departments take legal action to stop these scammers and protect people ?!

same name, she was extremely professional and direct. but could sense some anxiety in her tone when she was asked couple questions. i hung up and later she called me many more times. i later called she said the court has already issued the order to arrest so nothing can be done !!! looks like sheriff is still looking for all of us as they have to arrest thousands of them :-) hilarious but the call can trap u

I received a call from James Brown at this #4152518080. He left message saying that I owed money to IRS and I needed to call him back and NOT to disregard the message. He was very hard to understand. heavy accent, from India maybe. When I called back, Ann answered. She told me that I owed over $6,000 to the IRS. That they had sent 2 letters in the mail and both had been returned to them. She told me I was scheduled to be arrested tomorrow for none payment. Then stated I could pay today to avoid that. She had a very heavy accent as well. And sounded very professional, direct, with no emotion. I hung up with her and called the IRS to check my account, which is fine. Called 4152518080 back and stated that "this is a scam, DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN" Ann just said "yes ma'am" and hung up!

SO glad I Google the phone # and found this site!!  I was beginning to believe them.  I let James Brown leave me a message, then called the # back after I heard the message.  I started to suspect something was up when a woman answered the call right away..  No automatic message at all.  She explained to me that I will be arrested tomorrow if I do not pay in full.  I guess I will wait to see if I am arrested tomorrow!  Wow!!!!  Someone really needs to get these people to stop this!

This number has called me, and yes a dot indian, very hard to understand.  Makes me furious!!!!!!! It is a scam, called the IRS, since I know I dont owe them any money and reported the number.  Man they need to get a life!!!  If they call back I'm sure gonna have some fun with this guy.  

Just got the same call today.  

I called San Francisco PD and they said they are well aware about the case.  The call was made from India and just routed using a 415 area code.  I asked the dispatcher why those numbers are not shut down.  The dispatcher said they tried but there is no way to shut them since it is just routed from India.  He asked everyone encounter the situation to put it on the internet, FB, any other social medias and tell everyone you know don't fall into it and becomes the scam victim.

My call was from "Jerry Brown" as well. I thought he was drunk at first, then I thought that maybe he was mentally challenged.
He was very difficult to understand, but I did make out the works taxes, legal action, and the phone number and reference number. The first thing I did was Google the number, and as it turns out,...he is mentally challenged. (No offense intended to others)

Even if I were gullible, I couldn't understand a thing it said.  Thickest accent.  Block it.

Just received a voice mail from this number. Could barely understand the man. Stated he needed to talk to Mike my ex-husband) regarding a Tax discrepancy. Wanted him to call back and gave a reference number and his name as Jerry Brown.

Received this phone call yesterday and he claimed his name was "Jack Swagger". They were very rude and had me on the brink of tears. I did report the number to the FTC today. I kept the voice mail just in case I need it for future reference.

Is it always the same amount of money? They claimed I owed over $6000.
