rec'd call from this # for someone who has not worked at this company for 6 years

They have the same spiel over and over. They ask for someone in your company, they claim they are an "assistant to so and so" and were asked to get said person on the line and then transfer the call. Wehn pushed for more information as to what this is about they claim they were simply instructed to get the person on the line and then transfer the call. When you do not agree to transfer the call they claim they will get more information and call back another time. They do and you have the same exact conversation with them.

calls keep coming from this number to my cell. Caller doesn't leave voice mail or name. Any ideas as to what's going on? Annoying

Same thing, only different names (none of which work here) in different positions (eg: CFO, VP of Marketing, COO etc). Then they get nasty when I say there's no one by that name in my records, or they hang up before I'm done speaking.

I received a call from this number today and by the time I took the phone off my holster, it got disconnected. Being a jobless in the market, I do get calls from unknown numbers. I dialed back using my cell and it went unanswered and I dialed back using another land line and there was no response.

this was a telephone solicitation from corporate executive board.  They are extremely persistent and I am committed to not do business with them

Just got another call from this #. No message was left. I attempted to call back and the phone range 6-7 times and then just stopped ringing and hung up automatically.

Called my cell phone and said my name only.  The rest of the message was not understandable.  Then he hung up.  I tried to return the call but got no answer.  The call sounded very suspicious so I decided to investigate.  Glad I did!  Beware of this number!!

Just called into my place of business this morning and left no vm.  The call was transferred from our corporate office.  Assume the person asked to speak to an officer or Manager.

This caller and a group callers from California obtain mobile numbers illegally and sell to others. Be warned!!

Called our mainline, asking for the CFO.  Said he was from "Corporate Executive" something or other.  I asked what about, and he said he did not know.  Another person (I could not understand the name) wanted to speak to our CFO.  He said it was his second day on the job.  I told him I could not put the call through without knowing what it was about.  I offered the CFO's voicemail, which he said yes to, but did not leave a message.  I could barely understand him, his accent was very thick.

I got a call from this number asking for my name linked to a construction company. Since I have one legal name and only use an extra initial for some computers, I knew that this call was suspicious. The man said it was a mistake, but he had my cell number.  I called back and there was no voicemail or answer.  I really concerned me, because I was wondering if someone was planning on opening some accounts using my name as a business entity.
