We Received over 200 calls in last month from 415-366-5859, IT Brief Company. Rude to receptionist, would put them on hold, just call back.
Phone#/dialer provider is TelePacific Communications, their CEO is Dick Jaikut, Governor Pete Wilson of CA is on their board of directors.
Have done call back 10 times and per their prompt have requested to be put on their do not call list so we had record of action.
Had receptionist forward last 5 calls to InfoSec Director. Advised calls are recorded, 3 hung up immediately. Remaining 2 obtained Name, name of company, purpose of call, services/etc (1 was for HP upgrades, 2nd for Adobe), ignored request to provide any information.
Advised them of Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991. Requested they do not call back, got them to acknowledge message. Advised that I will be filing complaint with their provider.
Next steps, per their provider, filing local police report & then forwarding to provider and request they take action.
Also setting up voicemail box to send them to which will tell them to put us on do not call, advise of TCPA 1991, recording all msgs and call attempts, & then working with IP software/service provider to create function for blocking calls after mgmt review.
They may get another provider, but it will cause them issues.

It's always a bad idea to call them back.  It puts you on their 'live dupe' list and will almost always assure you of more calls from other entities in the future.

How to further annoy me:
1) Call from this number.
2) Use automated calling software so when I answer, you don't hear it and then come on the line saying "Hello?" repeatedly like I called you.  
3) Ask for me by name, but don't identify yourself. Just ask questions about my organization like you are entitled to that information.
4) When I ask who is calling, don't identify who you represent, just say "Don't worry - I'm not selling anything". Bonus points for ignoring my polite explanation of that I don't accept cold sales calls and keep asking me to verify information that one would never verify for a complete stranger.
5) Force me to hang up on you at that point.

I am filling in for our receptionist and have answered two calls from them today.  Both times (different people) they have indicated that they are calling from IT Brief and have asked for IT, and both times I have told them, "Just a moment" and then hung up on them.  

Note to companies everywhere:  I know it is cheaper to outsource to India.  That doesn't mean it's better. No one likes receiving calls from "Dave" or (insert American-sounding name here) when they can barely understand what the person is trying to say due to the heavy foreign accent.

I'm so tired of these guys calling me... I decided to call them back.  Thought if someone answered I'd try to sell them an IT Brief... but instead you get a short message that says "Press 9 if you want to be added to our do not call list."  I did.  We'll see if they honor that - of course it could just mean that I go on a list of "these people will answer the phone," but I don't care because they obviously have my number on that list already.

This number has called 3 times so far today asking to speak with someone in the IT department, which we don't have. She was hard to understand as she didn't speak English very clearly. After reading what everyone else had to say on here, I know to hit the "ignore" button next time I see that number calling in.

I got a call from this number earlier and all I hear is the heavy breathing sound. It's really weird. It lasted for about 59 secs then hung up. I wonder now how they were able to get my number.

415-366-5859 I've only been with my company for 3 months and this number has called twice a day for the past 2 months.  Always a bad connection, always asks for someone who doesn't work here.  Have asked to be removed from their call list at least 5 times now.

I have now seen this phone number come through about half a dozen times today!! When they called my direct line I answered as "XYZ Co. Human Resources".. he then asked for someone by name who does NOT work here. (at least not as far as I know) He then asked for the Human Resources Manager. I transferred him to their line, I think they answered... OOPS.. and about 45 seconds later noticed that the same # was calling the direct line of our Human Resources Specialist's line. They did not reference a company they were calling with or what they were calling for.

Very Rude man called wanting to speak to an IT Director. I asked who this was, what company they were with and what they were calling in regards to. He said "frankly It's none of your concern you just answer the phones" LOL yeah... I definitely had the info he needed but I guess I'm just too low and dumb to speak to. Hang up on these people.

Called me at work.  As the call came over as RECEPTIONIST, I thought it was our front desk calling me.  Once I answered, the Caller ID showed this number calling.  I advised I have no input of the IT dept in my company, and that the OPs dept would be best, but would not be available to take unexpected calls, from outside.

recieved a call @ 3:44 PM fro "Don with IT Brief" asking for someone in IT Department.
As I'm required to take messages, asked for a call-back number; "Don" stated 'I don't have one - this is a call center".
When I informed him I could not forward the message without a call-back number, he started whining "isn't there a Supervisor I can talk to...?"
Repeated I needed a call-back number & disconnected.
At 3:47 Pm recieved another call from this number; different Guy - same request.
Repeated what I told his Buddy & disconnected.
Even if we wanted their businees, how could one call 'em back to say so?

3) Ask for me by name, but don't identify yourself.
4) When I ask who is calling, don't identify who you represent, just say "Michelle Gordon" like that's a typical name for someone calling from the subcontinent of India. Bonus points for becoming confused by pops and clicks on the poor connection and keep randomly saying "Hello?" while I speak.
5) Force me to hang up on you at that point rather than immediately indicating you're a complete waste of my time.

Called our company Support Desk and asked for a supervisor. He mentioned that it was about Oracle software for customer service. I told him that our number was for in-house support only and that we weren't interested. He went and asked if I was the IT supervisor, I said know and he asked if he was available. I told him not at the moment and he said "Thanks for the runaround"
