i DID have a stalker, so unfamiliar numbers are not cool for me. looked up the number and landed here. GLAD to know its SF Symphony. NOT glad to read i can expect endless calls from this number and a headache to get it taken care of.

I'm torn about the calls from the SF Symphony.  On one hand, I'm a previous season subscriber, and I like the organization.... but on the other hand, I HATE phone calls, especially ones asking for money!  I chose not to subscribe for the upcoming season due to personal budget issues, and I dislike getting a guilt trip every couple weeks when they call.  I've said no over and over, but they keep calling (and not leaving messages, which is extra weird).  Dislike!

Yes, it is the SF Symphony phone stalking number.  I actually refuse to donate to them even though I would otherwise because of this behaviour, it is really creepy.

Got a call from the number yesterday and they left no number.

I've had many calls from this number.  They won't leave a message and I have asked the
Symphony previously NOT to call me.

Received call twice today.  Answered both times within a couple of rings.  Dead air.

They called me three times in a row because I wouldn't pick up the phone and they refused to leave a message.

They called us but never leave a message.

I have asked several times to be taken off their call list, but the calls persist. This is very irresponsible behavior by an otherwise fine organization.

Called Day and night, weekday and weekend and never stops.
Haven't signed up for any communications but still get emails.
Even my phone number is listed on National Do NOT CALL registry.

seriously, this is unreal!  I am getting one to two calls per day from them!  I went to one show in the last 5 years.

I get these calls every time they put up tickets for a new season or series on sale. I haven't gone to the symphony in a while but they seem to keep in touch more than blood relatives. Even when I did go it was for one or two concerts at best. The musems and opera do the same thing as well so I guess if you don't want them to call it's best to purchase tickets at the box office directly.

Yes, I wound up here also after they kept calling every evening and not leaving a message.  Super creepy.  Didn't know if it was a stalker, a wrong number, or what.  Yuck!

On my side, they didn't leave a message either, so I looked up the number, and ended up here. I'm curious what they're selling. (Season tickets - or another performance similar to the event I just attended.) I would have picked up if it said "SF Symphony." Seems like they are wasting a lot of time by not telling people up-front who they are.

Well of course they called you if you asked to be taken OFF their internal do not call list. Next time, ask to be put ON their do not call list.

Just got a call from the SF symphony today and I had already asked to be taken off their internal do not call list.  They informed me that there was a duplicate account that I created when I went online.  How is that in today's world they can't figure out that a duplicate is being created?  Really it could be worse, I spoke to the manager and he took care of everything.

I agree about the SF audiences.  I have never heard so much coughing, sneezing and fidgeting - whether the symphony, ballet or opera.  It's ridiculous.

They get your new number by calling Information. People doing this job are fired if they leave a message. The managers who run the call rooms and the people they work for have yet to come to grips with the concept of caller-id. Give them a break - they are just making a living by selling a good product with added incentives in the way of free concerts and discounts on series. No one is out to get you.

Apparently they are purchasing call lists somewhere... I saw (415) 503-5567 on my phone tonight (they didn't leave a message) and they don't have a history of my phone number as I haven't purchased a symphony ticket since getting my newer cell phone number. So I'm not sure where they got my number. It is terrible that they don't leave a message.

These people are the only ones on the planet who can give you a double discount on the SFS Season. They saved me a lot of money just because I answered the phone.

Well finally got off the list...we'll see...but I get the guilt trip when I ask to get off the list. Had season tickets for a while but the last season I just wind up giving them away because symphony goers in SF are the WORST on the planet. more coughing and fidgeting than anywhere I've been. unbearable.

Yes, it is the symphony and they will not stop calling me. I really enjoy their shows but don't like their tactics of calling non stop.
