This is a debt collector for bounced checks. Kaiser Permanente uses them.

Seven months later, and I got another illegal call to my cell phone. I see I reported one last August. This time there was no message, just a minute of recorded dead air before disconnection.

Called my Orange County CA cell phone this morning and left a message about "waiting for the next available agent" to discuss something wrong about my checking account. Then they played me some inappropriate music and repeated the "please wait for agent" message, at which time my phone message service timed out and the recorded message was terminated. Unbelievable. The main speaker had a kind of fake Andy Griffith voice with a "friendly" Southern accent that was completely unpersuasive.

Andy Griffith? San Francisco call origin? I don't think so.

the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act prohibits these kinds of tactics. Look up the FDCPA and learn how to deal with these people. Remember, debt collectors bank on the hope that people owing debts do NOT fully understand their rights and obligations, and use many tactics to get someone to admit to a debt, agree to pay a debt via arrangements, or some other way to get around the fact that SOMEONE SAID TO OWE A DEBT HAS 30 DAYS TO CHALLENGE A DEBT, or even ackknowledge a debt is valid, IN WRITING.

Please, folks, look up the FDCPA! Arm yourselves with knowledge

Scam artist, William Banks, Stephanie Smith, Nicki Jones & Monica to say the least. But the AIC or A***ole In Charge is William Banks at this 415-658-9707 location. They need to be exposed and should all be ashamed of themselves. I would rather be on the streets than to have a low life job like this.

I also received calls from this telephone number.  Same scam, they identify themselves as CCS.  I wish there was someone monitoring  these scams.

I have been getting phone calls from this number too and they are saying that they have a file on me from "CCS" that "Must be discussed and they would LIKE to help me."
I believe the name is Gloria, but I cannot hear her well, but her voice is very garbled.

Yep, I also get the 'Caldwell Johnson' harassing phone calls. Same stuff about the checking account. As if I'm that dumb to give some bot that injects a fake name any personal info over the phone.

I am researching this for my mom who is getting calls from this number everyday as well.  If she picks up there is no answer and it is like they hang up. One time a message was left "My name is Caldwell Johnson and calling to tell you your checking account has been compromised". When she called back there was no answer. Another call message said "If this is ******* press 1, if this is ****** press 2", but she was not there to get the call.  It is clear at this point that it is a scam of some sort.

Im getting calls from Samantha who states she is the supervisor, who doesnt want to give me thier information. and is demanding a payment from me over the phone, and when i request the website information or written statement she refuses to give it to me. Then she said if I dont pay over the phone shes going to note that I refused to pay.

Getting calls from this number one to two times a day, everyday.  When I answer, there's no response.
