Got a call from this number a few minutes ago, was some recorded message of a guy with an accent telling me to stay on the line for a promotional item. I hung up.

Missed the call - when I called it back there was only music playing... just played for more than a minute

I am in Calgary. I Got this phone call on 26 th of March didn't answer. But had this number to make sure who called me. Finally called back and just music playing. Im really worry that they CAN Charge us somehow if we answer or call back. Cuz Ive heard somehow they can! is that true?

GOT THE CALL AND DID NOT ANSWER. GLAD I DINT NOT NOW THAT I LOOK IT UP. I HAVE A TELUS ACCOUNT SO NOT JUST ROGERS AND FIDO LOOKS LIKE THEY ALL ARE DOING IT. I BLAME A SLOW ECONOMY......

Got a call from this number today,did not awser it, but did call and waited and waited and waited. no one came on the line after 10 mins. Was ready to ripe the people callin a new bum hole. I have an unlisted number. I do not sign up for ANYTHING and do not give my number out. My Cell is for work only and have know idea who these people are or how they got my number.

Same thing.. Got call on my new FIDO number (less than 10 days old). Since all complaints in Canada are Rogers customers, it looks like Rogers/Fido ARE SELLING their client list to TELEMARKETERS. Shame on them.

This # called my "Rogers" cell at 7:20 pm AST. A recorded voice announced, "Congratulations, you have won a prize.  Please press '1' to collect your prize".  

It repeated the message twice then disconnected.

I NEVER give my cell phone number to anyone other than friends and this is the 1st time I have EVER received a telemarketer on my cell.

Very startling ..... I'm sorry I even answered the call because now "they" have evidence that it is an active line!

Same as most the others. Got the call on my cellphone a few minutes ago.
Didn't answer, it stop ringing before I could find the phone. Just had my cell phone registered with the Canadian do not call registry a few days ago. Can't do nothing until a month or so because the registry take about that time before anything can be done after a number is registered. I dare them to call my home phone number which has been registered for quite a while now. Oh! the call centres don't call anymore on my Home phone.

Oh and I got the call at 3:00pm January 16th 2009, in Ottawa Canada

Same, I just giot a call from this number.  I couldnt hear anything when I picked up.  Called back and only heard this shitty music...

Got a call from this number on my cell phone, in Canada (~1:30pm 2009-01-6). Didn't answer it (didn't recognize the number). In Canada it is illegal for telemarketers to call cell phones: does the same not apply in California?

I just recieved a call from this number, telling me to press 1 to collect a prize. I stayed on the line and a male voice soon overtook the line saying that I had won a trip to cancun from sunquest vacation. He asked whether I was 25 or older. Very strange indeed. Not sure if it was a scam or not. Most likely was.

I just got a new tel number 2 days ago and just got a call from an unwanted/unknown caller 1-415-952-4541! I changed my number to stop these calls!

Yup ..call to Calgary from the same number.  Missed the call but after reading all that is written here, I am glad of that.

I too am with telus and just got a call from this number. It is not the first time.  I had it on my missed call list and never bothered with it.

Just got this one on my (Rogers) Cell.
Tried to call back, the call would not go through.

I normally get maybe one spam call per month, but in the last few days there have been a bunch from the USA.

It looks like my name has been put into some caller list; as it happens, I did leave my number at a website last week - but since it was an ISC2 security organization, I figured it was safe.

Bugger me. :-(

i hung up b/c i think this may end up charging those who select the option.
