got two calls one from 416-360-8654 and he identified himself from 'the computer care' and his name was George. I've received calls from them several times them asking about my renewal of my product license on my Apple product, and every time I tell them I don't own an Apple product. This time I told 'George' that if I received another call I would call the police and hung up... 30 SECONDS LATER from 416-360-8356 George calls back saying 'go ahead A^^@$^ I dare you call police, my name George and I'm telling you to call F@#$%@#$ police now, do it.'

I am in the right path!
I am not overly suspicious, but I do pay attention; it happens that at this moment I am waiting for a number of very important calls, so when I got a call from this number, I thought that is one of my important. I called back, and got nothing, few times.
Somehow, I decided to google the number (first time ever I did that with a phone number), and....surprise!Here I am, finding out about this scam.

LESSON for everybody: if you do not feel really, really sure about something, just google it.

today I received call from that number and told me that calling from. redemption center Montreal,  you are using visa / master card and we give you 100 gas Voucher and other discount and charged you only 1.95$ from my credit card, by mistake I gave her my credit card information and my full name, I don't no what happene next, I worry about this,  lets c what happen with me.

I just got a call 10 mins ago and just got dead air on the other end, too bad because I like to play games with the telemarketers. If it's someone that says they're from Windows I say, "no no I only have Apple computer" in a strange accent. You can always say "Windows? Don't you mean Microsoft, Microsoft makes Windows operating systems, get your story straight" and then hang up. Also, I have a "number disconnected" recording on my cellphone that I like to play when they call my home number. Have fun with them and make them feel like idiots, I rarely get calls anymore, I wonder why?! :-)

Apparently my phone came to life and dialed this number by itself.  Now I am getting charged for an outgoing call that I never made...who are these people?  How does this happen?  I had just activated my phone 1/2 hour ago :S

Just got a call from a man with a very thick Indian accent claiming to be "Kevin Smith" calling from Windows.  I've read about this scam before so I came back with "You are so full of $hit!  Don't call this number again!" and then I blew my rape whistle into the phone and hung up on him.  I always keep a whistle by the phone for just such occasions.  Telemarketers tend not to call more than once.

I just got a call from a bogus Computer Maintenance Department, saying I have disturbing traffic from one of my computers. They want to remotely connect to my computer and fix the problem.

This scam is so they can hijack your machine and hold you ransom, until you pay them to unlock your computer. Do not let them on to your machine!

A woman called me from this number, claiming to be calling from my bank. She knew my name and knew my banking information, besides the credit card number itself. She said she noticed I was a good customer and because of that she as sending me $100 in free gas and free air plane tickets. All she needed was $1.95. I told her I would not be giving her my credit card number. She then tried to tell me they are an honest company, been doing this for years. I assured her again, you will get nothing from me.

Well, I'm sure you have been doing this for years - SCAMMING that is! Lady, I wish you were reading this. You are a HORRIBLE person for trying to scam people! HORRIBLE!

Needless to say I did not give out my information. I hung up on her.

They were calling about my home computer.

I got a call saying they were from a redemption centre in Montreal, Quebec and that I could use points on my credit card (which I don't have) to get plane tickets!  Sounded like he was calling from a cell phone - it was all staticey and I couldn't make out the company name he said he was calling from.

An old polite lady called for a short survey if have smokers,pets,asthma (legit concerns),
but that was the "cover-up story", in reality was using it to extract information such as "are you the owner of the house, how long you live there,whats your name, are  you working"  and i did not comply so she brought a new twist since i was waiting for her to call  it quit, she thanked me and said because i helped she would put me in a draw for some kind of a prize and asked for my information . I replied to her No thank you i am fine the way i am, i need nothing. She realized the end was there and hang up before me.
THIS THE MOST POLITE  INTERROGATION I EVER KNEW   .

Today they called me telling me there is an envlope returning to them and adressed to me.foolishness I gave them my address.

today they are calling with the scam that your computer has a virus and you need to go to some website and they will clean it for you. They claim to be calling from "Windows" . Apparently they want you to go to a   wesite where they will implant malware and steal your information.

This phone number calls you and tell you that they have a delivery from 1 800 flowers  for your address ,
Then they ask you your name , Be careful not to give out your info , There is NO flower delivery for you
This is a Reverse phone number lookup service , just trying to get the name attached to your phone and address.
