The called me today without leaving a message.

Saw the number.  No name.  Looked it up and saw from the below postings that it might be World Vision.

I also sponsored a child, and now get calls every so often from World Vision requesting more funds for urgent crisis around the world.

Same story here. I got two calls about a week apart but I answered neither. I have a world vision child as well. Could be that I suppose - if they want me they can leave a msg.

Called me once before today... I ignored it... today called again... I ignored again and came here... saw Crystal's post - I too have sponsor child so maybe it's actually World Vision.

I called the number back and it is a World Vision hotline. They were calling to thank me for supporting a foster child and to inform me of a need for more sponsors for kids in Bolivia.

i get daily calls from this number, no message left.

Called around 8pm last night... I said Hello 3x, but no answer so I hung up.

Has called me couple times...called twice in a row today.  Don't bother picking up the phone.

Was on the other line, could not see the caller info on the display!

Could hear a room full of activity but caller hung up after a few seconds without saying anything.  I suspect they were phishing for active numbers.
They won't bother me again as the number is blocked.

I too have received too many calls from this number.  I'm chronically ill and honestly fed up with how many telemarketing calls, both legal and illegal, I still get despite being on the do no call list and the i opt out list.  Today someone again called from this number, this time leaving a message that sounded like someone yawning.  It wasn't static.  This afternoon my dad phoned this number to tell them to stop calling or lose our support.  I never would have thought we'd get to the point we'd be willing to do that, but just because it's a charity doesn't mean anything goes, and we aren't going to reward them anymore for nonsense like this.  My dad was on hold, with the exact same music playing over and over, for over 30 minutes.  He finally hung up.  Now he's trying a different number for World Vision, and for having such a ridiculous system that makes a person be on hold that long and not able to leave a message, he's stopping donations for a month and then resuming, and next time it'll be for good.  WORLD VISION:  THERE ARE OTHER CHARITIES WE CAN DONATE TO INSTEAD!  So don't even try to say we're punishing the child instead of you.  Why not try treating your supporters a little better?  When we signed up, we looked forward to spending our time relating to this on things like letters and stickers, etc, for the children, not on ridiculous telemarketing nonsense.

That was World Vision, thanking me for supporting a foster kid, they didn't ask me for money.

I've gotten calls from the number as well. I finally called it myself to see who would answer. Apparently is the World Vision fundraising hotline.

I have received numerous phone calls from this telephone number.  I never answer as I do not know anyone in the 416 area code.  I have had about 30 calls from this number at various time of day and night.  I have never answered, there is never a message just a hang up when the machine comes on????
