I keep getting calls from this number too but never make it in time to answer since it only rings 2x at most before they hang up. A few mins ago I received a call from 519-255-4141 and I managed to answer the call since I was on the line already. This guy sounded like he was on the road and has a very heavy indian accent. He's calling with an air duct promotion and when I asked him what company was he calling from he paused and said ugh air duct services and I asked him if that's the name of his company and he said ugh no m'ame and I very rudely asked him again what the name of his company was and he said uugh air duct solutions and then kept rambling on. I told him we already have a contractor for this and we are happy with the service. Hopefully he stops calling!!!!

Bell hasn't called back yet......Hit again this morning at 11:26 AM.......The Do Not Call List is basically useless in my opinion.....the RCMP needs to get involved. If this is indeed spoofing (see my previous post), some real technical expertise is needed to find out the true source of these extremely annoying and unwanted, intrusive calls. I'm getting FED UP!

yep - duct cleaning... we've just been hit for the forth time.   Logged it with the do not call registration complaint line... apparently I'm not the first one either...

Called us yesterday and today.  I didn't answer because I am now in the habit of only answering the phone to numbers I know.  No message left.
It's a real shame that these scammers can control my phone usage when I pay for the service!

I think it's the same w**ker from a duct cleaning company that I've reported to the CRTC 2 times already. My only consolation is that he can't be all that successful if he's got time to make this many phone calls....

The Bell employee in the executive office did in fact call us back, with the explanation that this particular situation involves "spoofing", a practice that we knew nothing about.  This article from the Wall Street Journal is interesting but very frightening:

If the number 416-575-4141 is indeed a victim of "spoofing", then we really feel sorry for the person who owns this cell phone. But I did suggest to the Bell person that it seems very strange that if this "spoofing" technology exists, why doesn't the scammer change the number more often?  We've had calls from this number for a while now.

We'll keep you posted if Bell comes up with an explanation and/or a solution.

Today I sent an email to Bell Canada (executive.office@bell.ca) and I included our phone number that is receiving so many of these unwanted calls. Bell called me back just a few minutes ago to ask for more particulars, but you'd think that they would monitor this website!!  The number in question is from a Bell Mobility cell phone and I told them that we are Bell customers (home phone, cell phone, and internet) and that we expect something to be done, and that they absolutely should value our business more than this scam artist. So much for the Do Not Call list; it's basically useless and toothless.

Hopefully those of you out there who are also being pestered by these calls will email Bell so that this telephone abuse can stop.  I also sent a copy of my email to Ellen Roseman, the consumer reporter for the Toronto Star. Again, Bell's email address is executive.office@bell.ca.

Have had numerous calls from this rude Man and once a lady. Today at 2:30pm, he called and asked for another member of the house hold (obviously cold calling since he could not pronounce our name). Then hung up. I pressed * 69 and retrieved the number. I tried calling back but found a voice mail stating "Jack Tribataro's box was full". That last name sounds Italian and the caller did not.

The caller did not give any identification but I suspect it is the Duct cleaning Company that keeps on harassing us. I have told them on several occasions and more that we are not interested. They call at all hours of the day

just got a another call from this #, hang-up after 3 rings, name display shows V02232250180015.
I'm in the 905 area. who is this ?  called the number, recorded msge says 'Jack Chibitaro' or something similar, with a msge that there's no room to record a msge.

I have also received calls from this number, with hangups - I am calling my phone provider to block the calls now. Very frustrating!  Hopefully they can do something.

I've also been getting calls from this number. It's a Bell Mobility number. I've reported it to the police who suggested I monitor times and dates of any future calls and to let them know if the calls persist. The officer also suggested that I call Bell Mobility to block the number.
