This number is for Miratel Solutions. They call previous donors on behalf of charities, such as the Canadian Cancer Society, in order to ask them if they'd like to purchase tickets again for their fund raising lotteries.

I received a call yesterday, January 25,2009 regarding purchasing a Canadian Cancer lottery ticket. The man said if I wanted to buy one in the future to request #777. Obviously, he is on commission. I am tired of these calls as I have been on the Do Not Call list since the very first day of sign up last September.

Hi,
I work for this company. They are both an inbound and outbound call centre who process lottery ticket orders for charitable organizations.
If you've purchased lottery tickets in the past for charitable organizations, they may courtesy call you to remind you that the lottery campaign deadlines are approaching, or if you've purchased a lottery ticket for one of their existing campaigns, they may call you about an order problem. That's all.

Well i work for the company and we are not as bad as you say

ok, so I called it back and spoke with a representative . Its a company called Miratel solutions. If you've purchased Heart and Stroke lottery tickets in the past they are calling to remind you of the up coming deadline to purchase your tickets for the next draw.
When you call back, initially you are greeted by an automated machine that offers you to end these calls to your phone by pressing #2.
So thats, that. Goodnight Miratel.

number calls me between 5 and 9pm weeknights. Never have answered. has anyone ever call it back?

I have received calls from this number numerous times. Each time I answer there is no one there, just dial tone.
If it's important, please wait for me to answer or leave a message. Otherwise, don't call, please.

Got this call today, but didn't recognize the number so didn't answer. When googled, came to this site. Did reverse telephone lookup and it came back with:

exactly same happening here day after day. Very annoying...like the paparazzi...nothing we can do about it.

Frequent calls, not answered, no message left.
Such SOLICITORS should be limited to ONE CALL and if you say you're not interested in their pitch, they should be required to remove your number from their lists and not call again.
Maybe we can lobby our politicians to enact such a law.

They have called our home three days in a row, a total of six times. (They call, it goes to the machine, they hang up, then they call us right back and hang up again when the machine picks up). Very irritating!
Googled the number and got the same MiraTel Solutions Inc (call centre):
MiraTel Solutions Inc.
