recieved a call thursday aug 4. they told me i owed them money for an EATONS CREDIT CARD. i never had an eaton's credit card. when i called them back and told them their phone number was flagged as a scam. " HOWARD" the collector agent told me," people have opinions that aren't postive about their company". i double checked with equifax today and verified i never had an Eaton's Credit card. they called me again today and herassed me. i told them about me contacting equifax and they( equifax) verified i never had an eaton's credit card ... NEVER EVER.... the collection agency said it wasn't on my credit report yet. This 416-756-9985 is a load of s***!! they are scammers. it's possible that the suspected fraudster MAYUR PATEL from scarborough is behind this scam along with his buddies. anyone having dealings with MAYUR PATEL from SCARBOROUGH beware!! this is just one type of scam he is into.

received a call today and 2 days ago, no msg left today and dead air 2 days ago when I answered.

ok, so I was wrong (I have too much time on my hands).


I called the _real_ ACRM (link from previous post). I confirmed that they do NOT have an out-going number of 416 756 9985; they only call from 416-503-9633. so, my first post is wrong. the company calling from 416-756-9985 is not the REAL ACRM, and is a scam.

tell them to get bent.

I called the number back - 416 756 9985, and was able to get a recorded message.
The name of this "company" is "Action Collection & Receivables Management" [http://www.actioncollections.com/] which is listed with the BBB (http://www.bbb.org/kitchener/business-reviews ... onto-on-1178691), and has a B- rating.

I personally, do not have ANYTHING outstanding on my credit report (got a $240,000 mortgage & 2x$5000 CCs without a job, so...trust me, both myself & my financial institution have seen my credit history.

Do you research before you give then ANY information.

got a call from them today. left an automated message to call an 855 (new toll free exchange) number.
when i called, some woman answered, and wouldn't tell me what the call was in reference to unless i identified myself as the person they were looking for....which i did not.

so, i have no real info either. boo-urns. however, i smell a "debt collector" scam.
