im the user of this number from toronto ,i did not make any credit card company phone call to anyone. my number probably got hack by some scam credit card company so plz dont give any info when u receive call from this number, i alrdy report this problem to my carrier Bell which they said they can do nothing about it and i also have report this to the cop as well...if any1 out there know how to solve this plz let me know..i've been getting calls from all over the country as well which is fukin annoying.

I got this call today re the credit card - saving interest "scam". I asked for his name and phone number and he cleverly gave me the 1-800 number for Capital One - smart cookie. However I cut the call short as soon as I had checked the number............................it never ends, does it!

This number just called me, alleging to be from my 'credit card company', saying I was paying too high an interest rate. When I asked him what my rate was, the rate he gave me was completely wrong. They didn't identify themselves as being from the bank my credit card is from. Also broken English. As soon as I realized it was a scam I just called him a liar and hung up. SO fed up with these scams interrupting my life!

Said he was from "Master Credit Cards" asking for Mr or Mrs so when I asked what first name he was looking for he repeatedly said his name was Barkley from my "cards company".
Hung up.

While that's nice that you have a kind-hearted wife, in this case I think it's perfectly acceptable to be as blunt and rude as you want to someone who is trying to scam you!

Called because I was paying high interest on my credit card. I asked which card and he said "CIBC Visa". I don't have one and told him I knew he was using dishonest marketing tactics if he isn't trying to scam me directly. My wife said I should have been nicer.

There a many complaints about this number--it is routed thru FIDO in Toronto
Probably from India
Everything from winning a free trip --engery saving devices--etc etc
They even have your last name ( out of the phone book) and the first numbers of your visa card--( all the first numbers are the same on all the cards) WHAT THEY WANT is the last numbers and the three surcurity numbers on the BACK of your card

This number just called--SCAM I am sure--It takes awhile for the computer to register after you say hello--that is why most people think no one is on the line and hang up
But really you are just saving yourself grief
So hang up and report these crooks!!!

Called my home phone representing himself as Master Card Security department. Asked him to call back in order to verify this number....and this is where I landed.

They are trying to sell a gizmo to save electricity up to 40%. As an electrical engineer I tried to find out as much info as I could get, but it did not make any sense.
It is a SCAM it will not work ever. Don't send them money you will never see it back

This number just called my parents, and a man with VERY broken english was on the line my mother could not understand asked him to repeat where he was calling from and she still could not understand what he was saying so she hung up.
