I use skype as my primary telephone. I live in Quebec City and when I call people from Skype sometimes this number comes up on the caller display on their phones.  So I'm guessing it's just a randomly assigned VOIP number.

J'ai moi aussi reçu un appel de ce numéro on aurait dit que c'est quelqu'un qui a accrocher son cell et qui avait notre numéro en mémoire car j'enttends plein de monde jaser.......

et oui c'est occupé lorsqu'on rappel......

jai recu un apelle pour une compagnie que javais en 2009 la personne ma demander des information sur la compagnie apres avoir dit quelle etais fermer il mon dit quil avais des papier a menvoyer

yes it is true. I received the same call with that number 418-263-1511 and it is a friend from Uganda who was callind me, using Skype. There was 2 weeks ago, it was the number 418-263-1411. So it may change.

Solution: I investigated the situation. Some people are using computers to call, as it is unexpensive through what is called VOIP. Then, they may phone you from everywhere on the planet. What will appear on your phone is 418-263-1511 if you are living in Sainte-Foy Quebec, or another number based on your local area code. They are not necessaily scammers (though they could be), it only depends on who is calling. You may not phone back since it goes to a computer and nobody can answer. I live in Quebec and got a phone call indicated 418-263-1511 from someone calling from Cameroon AND ALSO from someone calling from my own city!  Thus, it is the result of evolution in telecommunications, and the call may come from a friend or from a person with wrong motivations from anywhere on the planet!  I phoned many places to get these infos. Hoping they help!

I received a call from 418-263-1511. To my surprise, a lady from 'Cameroon' that had already called me from her cell phone using a real cameroon phone number. She probably phoned me this time using a computer that generated the 418-263-1511 VOIP 'unreachable back' number. I will get more informations by reaching her back on her cell phone, as I suspect this could be a phishing process used by scammers to get personal infos, especially considering that many of you were contacted through this same number.

this numner is a generic number for BEll i think, if you use the *67 service to block your caller ID, this number will appear to the other side

Same here.. I was away for 4 days and when I got back home there were four calls from this number, 418-263-1511. When I call, I always get a busy signal.

it's important for all of use to make an effort and find out who he and she are for real. If you have valuble info, post it. For my part I will bring this report to the writ authorities...I am well conected! I will bring them down.

Même chose pour moi. Et quand on rapelle, c'est occupé.

this number also connects with foreign phone cards. Well it's the number that appears when someone form honduras calls me up. Then, this number may be some "connecting" phone number for foreing calls?!
