I saved the number in my contacts under a***ole. That way I know not to answer when they call again.

When he called my phone he said his name was Matthew Stevens. I told him he had the wrong number. I hope this helps.

This is like the 15th call in 3 days! I keep picking up the phone then hanging it up. I pull their trick, just listen to them! Just now, I laid into the person calling, said "will you JUST stop calling me? Know you claim you are exempt from the do not call list, it's very annoying, lose my number, thank you." I'm quite sure they will continue to call but REALLY ticks me off!

I have received four calls from this number within 3 days.  Caller I.D. indicates that it is Out of Area.  I have been using an answering machine to screen ALL CALLS for two to three years now.  If the call is VALID and IMPORTANT the caller WILL leave a message.  Otherwise, when the phone rings I ignore it.  Very rarely does an invalid message get recorded.  It has become amusing to see how many times these types of calls are made by the same number.  Some of these callers go on for months, stop for a few months and then restart again for one last attempt and then stop.  Eventually they give up and do quit.  Even when my own phone company participates in this harassment they eventually quit.

The DNC can't protect you from the illegal telemarketers, scammers, fraunds and extortion scammers. They are criminals and don't obey laws simply said..

These a***oles call nearly every single night!  HOW DO WE STOP THIS!  Whatever happened to the "Do not call list!"

first time getting a call from this number. looked local, although with no name attched to the caller ID. answering machine picked up, no message. checked here to see what it might be. guess the person behind the number is still at it. they called at 9pm

I answered because the area code is where I'm from (thought it may be a friend), but I was also hung up on with no reply.  Sounds like we've got a real winner here.

This number is continuing to harass me and I am beyond tired of it.  Since no one says anything when you answer, there is no way to remove yourself from their list.  When you call back there is a message saying that they are exempt from the do not call list and to let the person know that you wish to be removed the next time they call....except they just hang up when you answer so it goes around and around with no solution to the problem.  Their message does not state their name, only that they are a research company.

This number calls and does not respond when you answer.  I am getting several calls a day.

They call EVERY night and on the weekend....getting sick of it.  Can't they be disconnected somehow?

some telemarketer is getting paid for allegedly making calls and conducting interviews/surveys... their phone log must tell the boss that they called X number of "clients", but all they do is goof off... they hung up when i answered the second time.  a couple hours before, my wife answered and they hung up. if you call them back you get a recording saying that they are not subject to the "do not call" law because all they are merely conducting a marketing survey.  they say to tell the operator to take you off the list, but there is no operator.

This number has called twice this week, when we answer the person just stays on the line and listens, given the area I can almost guess who it is so I filed a police report today.
