I just uploaded my resume to Career Builder yesterday, and they called me today saying they would like to offer me a career as an insurance representative. The lady didn't even tell me where the company was located, which tipped me off (that, and my resume/chosen field has nothing to do with insurance). I have heard of things like this before, so I knew to proceed with caution. She tried to get me to book an appointment with the manager and gave me a date with a couple of different times to choose from. She kept calling me by my first name with every sentence. Pretty obvious! I told her I wasn't really interested since it wasn't in my chosen field, and she said she understood and told me to call back if I changed me mind. No thanks!

Ha! My name is Amber, they called me around the 31st of last month. I knew it was a scam, because I just uploaded my resume. and I really don't have much sales experience. SMH can't keep the names straight indeed.

2 calls in two days. First was an automated message, second didn't leave a message. Never used my name.

Got two calls from this number today, one right after the other. One message for me, one message for "Amber". Looks like Heidi can't keep her names straight.

Banker's life and casualty - they find your information on Monster.com or Careerbuilder.com (they act as an "employer" on these sites) and then they call you to try to talk you into selling insurance products. They say "We see that you are looking for a career, and we have one".
I wish this particular company (along with several other Life/Long Term Care/Insurance Style companies) would knock this off. They are indiscriminate as to whom they call, anyone who uploads a resume looking for a position is hit up by these vultures. (I say vultures because they promise 45K+....and the reality is a hard amount of work for about 10K per year)
