called and left no message

Got a call around 12:00 local (GMT+1) time. Caller knew my name and hang up after I confirmed.

received a phone call from this number, no message left.

If these jerks look people up on LinkedIn, they dig up phone numbers from websites or google searches, since my number is not listed on MY LinkedIn profile.  My cell is on the newest Federal "do not call list" for cellphones, but these folks obviously don't care.  May a thousand desert ants infest their armpits!

This gentleman called today and said he was calling our President and Marketing Dir regarding a recent article in the Denver Business Journal but would not say why he was calling.  He wanted me to give my name as verification that he called.  I refused and told him he did not need my name.

A male caller with a VERY thick Indian accent has been calling repeatedly this week, asking to speak with the owner of the company (by name). I refuse to put him through every time and ask if I can take a message or if he would like to leave a voicemail. The caller then says he would prefer it if I can help him. He then goes into a completely unintelligible spiel, of which all I can understand is that he has the owner's email address as _____ and would like to confirm that it is correct. Since they already have the info, and he can block any emails he doesn't want to receive anyway, I go ahead and confirm it. He then asks for MY name. I asked him why he needed my name. He said it was for "his records." The first time I gave him my first name again, which I give on my opening greeting anyway. The second time he called, after going through the exact same process, he asked for my LAST name. Yeah right. I hung up on him without giving it to him. He called again today, with the same request to confirm the email address. I told him I had already confirmed the email address three times and hung up on him. Not sure what these guys are after, but they are obviously a shady organization.

I have been receiving about 3 calls per day from this # at my office for several days.

I did not recognize the phone #, so I let it go to voice mail every time.  They never leave a message, but the caller ID is 422-398-3300.

You need to call 1-989-497-0580, Its the Department of Homeland Security, Secret Service Department. Tell them your calling to report that these people called you, they'll transfer you to an Agent who will take your info and direct you on what you need to do to. I just got off the phone with them, this is an open investigation and their asking everyone who receives these phone calls to PLEASE call and report it to them.

Her name was Sara and she left a voicemail saying my attorney or I need to call her back asap because of this time sensitive case, and if we don't call her, all she can do is wish me the best of luck as my case unfolds on me. I called back and spoke to a "Jimmy Macktell" and he said I owed "American Credit Services" for a payday loan they deposited in my bank, they had ALL of my information, I mean ALL OF IT, down to my parents names.. Pretty scary, they insisted that i was being charged with 3 felony account and that an officer would be coming to my home tomorrow morning to arrest me and take me to court. This was a very long conversation and much more was said than what I'm writing, and these people are very threatening and very rude, I was almost in tears. Come to find out, their scammers and just trying VERY hard to get people to give them money, and whats more scary is that some people have given in. I reported them to the Tucson Police Department, the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau of LA, which is where they claim to be located, and the BBB of LA has all their info, they have an F rating with the BBB. I changed my cell phone number also and put a fraud alert on my credit report.

These people told me that me and my family would be behind bars together and that I better find a safe place for my children, and how dare i lie about getting money and than not paying it back, and thats stealing.

DO NOT FALL A VICTIM TO THESE PEOPLE. REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY! PLEASE.

yes, today a man had called and stated that he was with comcast and he wanted to make sure that the confirmation number and installation was correct. After I relized that this number was not in service when I called back, I knew this was the same indian person that everyone was talking about. Why is this foreigner contacting us.

I received a call from this number...was Comcast trying to schedule an installation because had been cut off during a phone call last week.

They are getting it from linkedin.com,  they contacted me at work.  The person who called me was from India, named Kishur or something.  He wouldn't stop calling me, yet he didn't have my phone extention our phone directory didn't have me listed yet, he somehow got through to a Vice President's office instead and was bugging his secretary asking for me.  I figured out who he found my profile through and deleted them off my list.  All I can say is choose your contacts on that website carefully and avoid the 500+ people who add you just to increase their numbers.

To add to my anger his callback number 1-888-672-2860 ext 1306 didn't work.

Sheesh.

I've gotten calls from this outfit before.  The call started shortly after I started at my new firm.  The KG Search person was looking for the person I replaced.  I said that the person no longer works here.  Needless to say, they called me back 30 seconds later and I let them go into my voice mail.  Now someone calls once wvery quarter (and I still let them go into my voicemail)

Received a call today at 12:30 EST from an Indian woman named Priya who told me to call her back at 888-738-5815 x1217.  Her email is priya.s@kgsearch.com

I've also had calls from the same "KG Search." Twice from Sarita (woman with a thick Indian accent) and today from a man with an Indian accent who said he's taking over for Sarita. All calls have purportly been about a job at Unisys, which appears to stay perpetually open, since KG has called me about the job 3 times over the course of 6 months. Should I be worried that they have my home and cell numbers + my email address? What kind of mischief can they get up to with that info?

Received a voicemail from a female with what also sounded like an Indian accent around 12:04PM Pacific today.  She also said she was calling from KG Search, and wanted to discuss an opening with a Fortune 500 company.  Left a phone number of 866-889-6752 x1155, and a name of Jessica Smith.  I found the website (www.kgsearch.com) and had to laugh.  It looks like it's a recruiting site, but one of the areas where they're supposedly looking for candidates is "Qulaity".  

BTW...the 422 number that others have mentioned is listed in their Contacts section, and is listed as being their office in India.

KG Search called, confirmed my name and hung up. Tried to call the number back but failed. Definitely a scam. Indian accent.

Got one of these around 11:30pm.  Asked if this was "first last" and I said yes they hung up.  Got me out of bed.  First called my cell which I didn't answer then called the home number which I picked up.

What are they scamming for?

Do they really think I would answer the phone?  After years of solicitors and collectors, I won't answer unless I recognize the number or at least the area code.  Where the hell is 422?  Never heard of it and it doesn't come up on searches.  Keep trying f'ers...

received a voicemail call from "Ash" representing KG Search asking for me to call back regarding a opening for a prestigious international avionics supplier to the us government. I haven't called back. Left a callback number of 866-889-6732 extension 1209.

although the voicemail system registered the call origin as a upstate NY area code (518)

I wonder if they're getting their info from from Linked-In? I was told to call 207-023-7573 x1108 but I'm in the UK.  Sounded Chinese, but could have been indian ,female.

Same number calls me all the time, had gotten me out of bed after 11 pm!! Lotsa recent hangups too. I get the same line, they either hang up or say they are KG-calling about a biz deal, get it CAGEY. Don't tell the darn cowlickers a THING! They are bandit fishing phone phreaks in a boiler room sure as the sun shines. When I try to call the number I can't, am told I need an area code.  C'mon buddy-call me again....

I got a call from this number as well, at 12:40 pm CST and it was a female with a very hard to understand Indian accent. She knew my name and the name of my former employer (where I haven't worked for nearly 2 years) and said she had gotten my number from them as a purchasing contact for her manufacturing company...when she said the name of it I could not understand what she was saying and couldn't make it out.  I am pretty sure this same person has called me before and posed as a recruiter....In both instances it sounded like she's reading from a script, and badly.

Similarly to "weird call" above, I received voicemail this morning around 10:15AM EDT...female voice with mild Indian accent, and again, the voice almost sounds "computer programmed".  They stated they wanted to discuss a "time-sensitive business matter" with me, and left the number (866)889-6752 x1114.  This call was completely unsolicited; I have no idea where they got my name & number from.

Defintely female with an Indian accent. I received the first call a week ago couldn't make out the message. Today received the calll from 422-398-3300 stating she had my esume and wanted to talk to me about some jobs. left the number 866-889-6752 x1201 I know I am not returning that call. It just didn't sound right. The voice almost sounds like a computer programmed voice.

Got that call.  Is this "the ring?"
