This is not a scam or a firm for a charity.  This is the Chattanooga Firefighters Association Local 820 and we have been holding benefit concerts for over 17yrs now to continue promoting Fire Safety in our community.  There are too many programs to list so I'll let you call if you have any questions or even if you want your number removed from our calling list.  Also, we never receive funds via telephone or internet.  We have an Honor System so that you DO know where you are sending your money.  The only way we accept support is by mail when you send your payment for your concert tickets.

Most charity calls the firm making the calls keeps 60-70% of every donation.  For charities with Fire Department, Police, or Sheriff in the name its much worse, with the calling company keeping up to 95% of every donation.

You would be wise to never donate as a result of a phone call.  If you want to make a donation find a snail mail address and send a check.

He said he was with the local fire department and wanted a donation.........

They didn't leave a message. I called them back. Some guy answered saying that he was with the Cleveland Firefighters and they are holding a benefit concert with John Michael Montgomery and they were calling to sell tickets... yeah, right... sure they are.

This number called my house & left no message.  I don't appreciate these calls as our home & cell phones are on the DO NOT CALL list.

Called and left no message. I'm always suspicious about these type of calls. Why did they call then?
It's has to be a scam.

This site is a great service. We never answer if we don't know who is calling, and whoever did call did not leave a message. QED, sales or other pest call.
