Got a call from this number.

Yeah, little to late for me. I was frauded over two thousand dollars!! This was a job opportunity, Mystery Shopper. The "criminals alias is "Jeff Williams". It is a pretty tight operation as they ask for information about you and they actually call you like an interview. I was really fooled. The assignment they give you is for "Western Union." They send you what appears to be a real check, you deposit into your account. Wait for it to clear, take the cash out and then do a wire transfer to another criminal who is waiting to pick up the money. Now the "check" they sent you comes back returned. Your bank then charges you for the money including the check amount. Only info I can give to others is that they sound like they are from Africa or a neighboring country. The phone number they call from is a magic jack subscriber. I called it and did not leave a v/m. "Jeff" immediately called me back and I think there was another man close to the phone.

Oh my gosh, I am so happy I decided to google this information because it sounded a little fishy! I just saw the ad posted on the LVRJ and I emailed! I had the same response. Thank you so much!

This guy named Jeff Woodson had a help wanted ad in the Review Journal in Las Vegas for a personal assistant. His email address was jeff.woodson55@yahoo.com


When you send your resume to him, here is his reply, notice that he signs his name as Josh and not Jeff.:

I appreciate your interest.really sorry i have not been in touch with you,been so busy with work and family issues,I am very sorry to inform you that i have seen a qualify Personal Assistant... am no longer looking for an personal assistant any more,i found one already, but i want to direct you to a family friend of ours,who needs someone to be working for him, his name is Mr Josh Nicolas , you can get in touch with him through his Private email @: josh_nickss@yahoo.com  and  phone # 424-777-6716 , he will be so excited to hear that i referred you to him

I got an unsolicited email with this number included. All the information was typed into one massive Subject line and the body of the email was empty. It had SCAM all over it to me and seemed like a prime example of fishing for info to commit ID theft. I didn't respond to it. Here is what it said...

Any calls coming from this # is a scam!!!!!
