Got a call this morning from 425-291-8420

I just recieved a call from 425-291-8420.  Caller ID showed RENTON, WA.  Caller stated they were from Card Services and left a message in regards to lowering my credit card interest rate.  Funny thing, I have no credit cards with my WORK number listed as a point of contact.

Got a call from 425-291-8420. Caller ID shows FLIGHT INFO from RENTON, WA. Picked up the phone, automated voice mail stated "....have a nice day!" ?!

Got a message caller ID say Renton, WA when I called back it said the number was disconnected.

Calling early in the morning to my cell phone and left a message asking if I want to lower my credit card interest or whatever and not only do I not have a credit card but they want credit card info. SCAMMMM!

Recorded message stating that if I wanted my business listed on Google 411 to press 1.  "Please enjoy the music while we locate an operator."  No music, line went dead.  I had no intention of signing up for their service, just wanted to talk to a live person and waste some of their time.

Called again on 3/31/2010 @ 11:01, calling about debt assistance.  Pressed 1 to speak to a representative, while waiting on hold I pulled up the file a complaint page with the Do Not Call Registry, and after sitting on hold a bit was finally connected.  The woman spoke too quickly to catch her name, but when I asked the name of the company she was calling for she promptly disconnected.  Filing a complaint as we speak, as I've already called them once to be removed from their calling list.

I got a call from the 425 in Renton twice.   A friend suggested I try picking up then hitting the # key a few times before hanging up.   It is supposed to confuse the computer and will kick your phone # out of their system.  Seems to have worked, I haven't gotten any more calls.

Keep getting these random calls. I don't pick up be keep seeing them on my caller id on my phone.

I received a call from this number today.  Did not answer.   however, I just tried calling back, and the message said something like"Thank you for calling us back.  If you do not want to receive our offers and wish to be put on the do not call list, please press 1."

I did that, and it said to allow 72 hours for removal.  First time I've been called by this number.  Hopefully the last.

It was a call automated saying "We would like to add your information to Google's Business directory."
I was supposed to press 1 to Add, or 2 to decline. I figured if it was legit and I did nothing, someone would come on and maybe I could tell it was a "call center" but it just disconnected. I too, am on the NO Call List.

They called at 5:32 PM. It came up as "Renton, WA" on my iPhone. I did not pick up.
I feel like this number is somehow familiar. Maybe they called me a long time ago.

Yes, this is a telephone solicitor. I have been receiving the calls also, for about 3 months now. They are trying to offer a debt settlement service, which is a huge industry right now. I certainly won't say that they are simply a scam, they just happen to use very annoying marketing techniques.

The funny part about them calling me is that I manage a debt settlement company. Even though I have repeatedly told them that If I were in need of the service, I would enroll in my own program, they do continue to call. I have pressed 1 to be connected, I have pressed 2 to be removed, I have pressed 0 to speak with an operator, but all paths lead to the same dead end.

It seems as if the same company has several prerecorded messages. Some offer to lower interest rates, some say they are from card services, etc. The one today was new though, it offered to "go in and eliminate your debt for free". This was enticing! It's still the same debt settlement service which is certainly not "free", as most companies charge 15% of the total debt load that is enrolled in the program, and often other fees in addition to that.

If anyone on here happens to be an attorney, please let me know whether or not this false advertisement is ethical or even legal. If not maybe something could be done. When I asked the representative of this company whether or not their claim of removing your debt for free was accurate, he quickly hung up the telephone. Who knows, maybe that will get me off of their list.

I can tell you that their telemarketers are not very good at what they do, so if you would like to entertain  yourself for a few minutes, speak with them and ask them some mentally challenging questions. In fact, they can't even explain "how" their process works, as they have to send you over to someone who is more familiar with the process, i.e. the deal closer.

I vote that everyone speak with these representatives and take up as much of their time as possible by giving them false information and getting their hopes up. Well, thats more than enough out of me, happy bashing!

I too get calls from this number when i am at work and I often get missed calls from numbers starting from 425 and same here too as they never leave voice mail. I never pick up calls from unknown numbers so I don't know who s/he is going to pretend to be if i answer the call. How can we get rid of this crazy bstrd?

Same Credit card BS that others have mentioned. Called my work number and I do not have any cards that have this number listed.
