I have just found this site so I have not been collecting info on all the calls I've gotten. I am lucky enough to have a phone system that allows me to block up to 30 numbers. I am maxed out! I was getting at least one call a day and often 2 or 3. Since blocking these 30 numbers the calls have dropped to almost nothing. It appears that either it is the same jerks or the word gets around that the calls are being blocked. I will pay more attention to the calls from this point forward.

wise up people -- it must be true that America is full of dumb and stupid people -- you cannot do anything about spammers and telemarketers calling you and they all know it --- the government will not do anything about it --- where do you think that they get the numbers to call?  FROM THE DO NOT CALL LIST, OF COURSE!  They are supposed to remove these numbers from their database but they know that they are all good numbers and they also know that nothing will be done to them for calling all of them, so they persist. The phone companies will do nothing to stop them either, after all it is big revenue for the phone companies.  The phone companies are just as much at fault for this mess as is the FCC, the FTC, and the telemarketers themselves.  And we all know that Congress is totally useless at anything. The only thing that you can do to stop any of it, and that is not much, is to quickly push the talk button then quickly push the OFF button to cut them off.  DO NOT ANSWER, just on then off, quickly. They will be charged for the call, and all you will be out will be the time it takes you to push talk then quickly push off --- or if you do not have one of those phones, pickup then quickly hang up.  Blocking calls does not work either because these telemarketers change and spoof their numbers and names often. So, push TALK, then quickly push OFF, and be pleased with yourself.

The DNC list is only respected by legitimate companies/entities. Those of you over the age of 12 may realize that this has GREATLY decreased the number of sales calls you receive.

You may still get calls from those entities you have a recent "business relationship" with - i.e., the phone company, utility company, etc - this is within the rules; if you don't want their calls then TELL THEM and they'll probably quit. Political and non-profit entities can call at-will.

The frauds/scammers ignore the list and often spoof CallerID. The DNC list - the government - won't [can't] stop these calls.  Report the calls @ https://www.donotcall.gov/ and get a phone/phone service that allows you to block calls.

Again, what good does it do to register with "Do-Not-Call"?

received a call from 425-336-8154.  They left no message but I am on the federal DNC and should not be getting any calls from these low life idiots.  So tired of daily unwanted calls.  And the government DNC is a joke, even when they are working they don't do anything.  And during the gov shutdown, why don't any of the gov websites work?  Like their actually manned by a live person.

Automated message about reducing energy bill.  Calling my cell company now to have this number blocked permanently!!

Just got a call from this number. Besides being on the DNC list, it is illegal for telemarketers to call anyone with recorded messages, which is what this company is doing, regardless of whether you are on the DNC list or not. But the kicker was, they called and left a recorded message completely in SPANISH!!! Are we completely out of our minds??? SPANISH! I'm not living in a Spanish speaking country and my last name is Kennedy! What the heck!!!!! I am so fed up with this! And today's scam seems to be solar energy. I already have solar panels. Quit calling me illegally, using the phone I pay for to market a product I already own! You're bothering me in the sanctity of my home where the law provides me with the right to peaceful enjoyment. And now you're insulting me by doing so in a foreign tongue!!! Very rude! I would not go to a foreign country, make random phone calls and expect to speak my language and everyone answering should cater to me. Rude, rude, rude!!!!!

Received 2 consecutive calls from 425-336-8154 but stayed silent. Chances are it is the American government spying on its own people and ignoring the constitution. Wake up America. The government does not respect you and they can hide behind any telemarketer. If you become paranoid, now you know the reason.
