This company is calling my number and asking for personal info which I am not giving out

Just got a call from these guys.. they ask for me with my business name. The lady left a name Melissa, CVC came up never heard of them. So I called back you would think if its a company they would announce there name, but they didn't, just said hello. So I hung up they called me right back and let the phone ring about 4 times. IM NOT FALLING FOR THIS CRAP I AM SO TIRED OF PEOPLE JUST TRYING TO SCAM YOU FOR A $1.00 what do they think we are going to do... give them ALL OUR PERSONAL INFO.  if they call you JUST HANG UP!

I got a voicemail from this number.  I think they may have been calling for my mother-in-law (who has NEVER lived with us).  The call back number they left was 888-208-9185.  When I tried calling back it went to a voicemail for Credit International Corporation.  I tried calling again, and someone picked up the phone simply saying "This is Dean."  NEVER identified himself as a debt collector, or any of that other stuff they have to do under the Fair Debt Collection laws.  Very sketchy, and after reading some of the other stuff above, I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to collect on old/invalid debts.

It's funny how they call all of us from the same number but have a different story every time. They keep calling me, FINALLY got the lady to say their 'name' Credit International, I think? Something extremely vague, and they knew my first name, but kept insisting I verify an address before they could speak to me. I said I have never heard of you, she said well have you lived at such in such, I said what is this about, same reply.

Sooo lame. If they were anywhere near legit, and did have a bill against me, and think they know everything about me, where is my bill in the mail?
I'm not falling for it either peeps. Don't tell them anything they don't already know.
What a waste of time. Sad day and age for the telephone lol.
Next thing you know, they'll be telling me I've Won money, and all they need is my bank account number.. HAHA.

Getting calls from this number 3 x's or so a day. A lady named Gwen keeps leaving a message about a file they are trying to process for me. So not calling them back about anything.

I had a missed call from this number with no message then I received a call from my former employer that told me a person named "Ian" had called looking for me. He acted as my lawyer and said that he was trying to contact me  to notify me of a changed court date. When she told him that she could not provide information he asked if there was anyone there that still talked to me that "knew what I was up to these days".  She again told him that she would not give out information and he got beligerent.  A few weeks ago I received a notice from a credit company that stated they had a judgment that was filed against me in 07/1994 and they were now trying to collect. I went to the King County District Court and was informed that the file being referenced had been deleted in 1997 and that no further documents had been filed with the court. According to WA State law, a judgment expires 10 years from the time that it was filed unless a Request to Renew is filed within 90 days of the expiration date. If nothing was filed then it is illegal for a collection company to attempt to collect on anything.  I have sent them a letter with a copy of the WA State Regulations as well as a copy of the page from the District Court that shows the case was deleted. At this point, if they continue to call I will file a claim against the company with the Federal Trade Commission as well as notify the local media of their tactics.

these idiots call my old place of employment and said they were a court district and wanted to reschedule my court date. i am taking advice from proffessional and reporting this to better business bureau. how faulty they are and now lets see how they handle legal issues against them

YES I can assure you that Jessica is not lying. We got messed around with really bad. We got run all around and a $27 missed check went from $80 all the way up to $860 every time we tried to pay the amount doubled and tripled till payment was refused and we had to go to court. In court we were the only ones that showed up, and the judge said she didn't need to hear us and ruled against us and wouldn't let a word in. They were processing thousands of these claims an hour. They acted like we were slowing them down and were uninvited guests that were annoying them. We were summoned.

This is a collection agency in Washington State called "Credit International".

Tired of these calls. I owe nobody anything.
Call in from Amber  at 425-487-4021. She says to call her back at 1-888-452-9171. It took awhile but this tracks back to Bank of America.
I average about 6 calls aday have a list of over 30 of these kinds of phone numbers.
As usuall I just delete them from my answering machine.

There needs to be an easy way to block these numbers. Alot of them do not even have a human calling and leave no message.  Jus a very bit nusance.

Dean Hamilton is the one who calls from this number. When you call them he just answers Leagal Department. It is a collection agency and they dont eff around when it comes to taking you to court. but they DO give you the run around before that so they CAN take you to court

I got a call from a female at this number and the number she left me to call back a man answers and says legal department and gives his name.  But that is all he will tell you without you providing info about yourself.  They do not tell you who they are or who they are working for.

Went on google and says its registered to that couple... This along with other numbers have been calling me about a car warranty and I don't even have a car!!

I have received several calls from this number and a MR. Dean Hamilton called me at my place of employment stating, " that the city of los angeles was about to prosecute me".  THIS MAN AND HIS COMPANY HAVE PURCHASED A PORTFOLIO AND IN HIS ATTEMPTS TO USE THOSE LEADS...TO COLLECT MONEY, HE HARRASESS AND THREATENS PEOPLE.  WHEN YOU CALL TO INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPANY, HIS EMPLOYEES OR REPRESENTATIVES QUICKLY TRANSFER YOU TO HIS DESK WITHOUT ANY FURTHER COMMUNICATION- THEY WILLNOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.  PEOPLE LOOK UP THE ROSENTAL ACT- ALSO, CVB IS LOCATED IN TORONTO, MONTREAL HE IS AFFILIATED TO THAT COMPANY AS WELL.

This number called the place of employement for the person they were trying to get ahold of.

I just got a call from this same number on my cell phone, but the guy asked me to call him back at an 888 number. I called the 425 number and it said that I've reached the Customer Service Dept. The lady already knew my name and asked to verify my DOB. I asked what company it was and she said they can't disclose this information without verifying who I was first. I told her that I wasn't going to disclose any personal information without verifying who they are. She got snippy and told me that they HAVE to verify who I am as anyone can call in and say its me. I hung up as I refuse to play that game. Beware!

they called my buisness and asked about my daughters last dentist appointment but they thought she was my wife. they said we owed a few hundred dollars for it, but it was just a cleaning. when they called and asked for me they hung up so i called back and asked who they were and they never really said, they were really secretive about who they were and why they were calling. who are they and how can you stop their stupid fake calls?

Caller stated he was trying to collect a Debt and wanted DOB of Wife.  We actually have no debts.  

Pretty smarmy guy and really persistant.  When I asked that he not call again, he said he did not have to.

We received a message from this number (425-487-4021) asking for someone with my husband's last name, but not the same first name. She said her name was Heather Olsen with the legal department of credit international, and it was in regards to Pierce County District Court, and she "required" a call back. I looked up the name CCV online and saw they were a collection agency and Check Verification service. Neither one of us has ANY thing to do with Pierce County Courts. I left a message for her back - we'll see what she has to say and I'll pass it on.

I got a call at my business from this number asking to verify employment - that did not identify their business to me either.

This call came in and they left a 888-452-9161 call back number.  They did not identify themselves.  The didn't identify the company or the creditor.  They were vague about the nature of the call.  I am not sure that they are not a car warranty company, because I have been getting a lot of those calls.

I got a call from 425-487-4021, the caller asked me to call back 888-452-9100. She didn't say who she was calling from, but that she was Ms. Gates from Bothell.

I got a call from this number. Caller Id said "CCV".
