A charge for $7.95 appeared on my VISA bill attributed to WEBSOFT, LLC - 425-669-6489 WA MAIL/PHONE. I never did business with this entity and have no documentation for this charge. I also have no idea how they got my card number.

I received a Visa bill with a $4.95 charge from Websoft, phone #425-669-6489. I have never done business with this company and will have Visa take this charge off my card. Sounds like a scam going on out there! Beware
!!

I've gotten burned on this it only 7.95. Its B.S. and the
credit card won't block them from doing it again. Only thing one can do is have credit card co. Change your account to a different card number. And hope for the best. Thats what master card told me to do.

Had a $4.95 charge on my MC that I didn't make. Looks like several others have had the same issue. The number is 425-329-3393. Gonna call MC and have it taken off.

I had a charge of $15.90 on July 4, 2007 to my credit card which I did not authorize. I reported to Bank of America and placed it in to dispute and also reported to their security department. Tried several times to reach the company but can only get their answering machine. So frustrating!!

Got a charge for $ 4.95 from Websoft LLC on my Master Card posted 08.21.07.
I disputed the charge with Citi Corp and they are going to remove it. The point that bothers me is how they got my name and the credit card number!
| They are also using 1-425-329-3393 2007-09-22 22:38:07 Unknown |
No call, but a charge of $15.90 was placed on my Master card on 082007
Seems to me this was done a couple of years ago also. Of course I have to dispute the charge, but confident it will be removed.

Same happened to me. I got a charge of 4.95 on my VISA card and when I called the number I got an answering machine. I called my credit card company and tried to close my acct and get a new card they said (talked to two different people) it could be done by that anyone with the old credit card number can make additional charges against the old acct and they will be rolled over tot he new acct!!!! Seems kind of strange that you can close a credit card but that the thieves that have the old number ie WEBSOFT, LLC can continue to make charges against and have them rolled over to the new acct.

This month there was a bogus charge of $7.95 on our MasterCard statement. It is listed as #Websoft, LLC 4256696489 WA. Our card company gave us credit, but I bet there are numerous folks who just let it slide with the amount being so small. I'd like to know how they got access to our card number.
| chris 2007-09-19 00:46:36 Unknown |
Lots of fraud and Visa won't do anything about it. They'll let you dispute the charge and remove it, but they won't pursue the criminal. It is no wonder there is so much fraud when it is so unlikely anyone will ever be prosecuted.
$12.90 may be a small amount but judging by the hundreds of posts here and elsewhere they are probably making 100's of thousands.

I have also been a victim for 7.95. I called the number above for Mr Osborn. It turns out that Don Osborn runs Websoft. The secretary of course gave me the 425-669-6489 bogus number and said Don Osborn would call back. Sure he will. There must be some other department we can turn these b*****ds into.

Like many others I noticed a charge on a card I rarely use. When I called the number I got the "Send a fax now" message. I immediately called and informed my credit card company. They were great about removing the charge and changed my number. Same bogus phone number. The credit card company said that scams like this try to get a small amount of $ by!

I am posting this everywhere I see this number come up.
Just a little more info for those who would like to know. WebSoft is not the company behind this. There is a company called Captec Software http://www.captecsoftware.net/ that set up the business. You can check out their partnership agreement to see exactly what transpired.
The phone numbers they have listed on their website for their Philadelphia office just gives you the same voice mail. The number they have listed for their office in Russia is disconnected. I also found another number (425) 329-3393 that is supposed to be theirs too.
This is what they do. They get people to utilize their company's here in the United States under the pretense of contract. All eyes are focused on the local company when it's actually this company (Captec) that is using a dozen or so collector sites and then funneling the business directly to other companies. By the time the company finds out, it's already too late. I also found a couple of email addresses for the company besides the ones listed on their website. ilchenko@captecsoftware.net & katya@captecsoftware.net. They also have a general email of WebSoft@websoftllc.com. I have already sent emails to every address and called every number... I received no response. Hope this helps.

This looks like it could be the attorney that incorporated the company. But any info can help to burn this scumbag. It looks like he's attempted to scam a lot of people and has probably successfully stolen from countless others. I have no tolerance for theives - let's bring this sorry sack of s*** down!!!!

Add me to the list! Received a bogus charge for $4.95 on my Mastercard from Websoft, LLC, phone (425) 669-6489. I called Mastercard, and they're crediting my account. If it happens again, I'll be changing my account number.

Found a charge for $7.95 Websoft on my Mastercard, which I didn't make. Called the credit card company and they are cancelling the charge. I also cancelled my card and asked for a new card/number. Don't know how these crooks are getting so many people's credit card numbers but I hope they are caught soon.

I got the same $7.95 charge on my credit card for Websoft LLC. The cc company is removing it. Did a little background check on Websoft LLC on the WA state corporations site, if anyone else cares to look into it go to http://www.secstate.wa.gov/corps/search.aspx and enter websoft as the organization name. Checked the registered agents name in Intelius, he has 14 previous addresses throughout Washington on record. Seems like the guy might move around a bit.

Me too. $7.95 charge from Websoft LLC 425-669-6489. I called the cc company & they cancelled my card. What a pain!! I hope they catch these pathetic pieces of sh*t.

Got one of these myself on my Visa for 7.95. speaking with card co. now about the charge. they admit it was a manual entry so no card swipe and I'm telling them about this board and everyone else's claims. They are reversing the charge now.

I also got the erroneous $7.95 charge to my Visa account on 8/7/07. The credit card company agreed it was a "scam", and removed the charge from my account.
