I received a call from this number indicating that they wanted to go over what I could do to improve my website. The call was from a company called Internet Advancement.

Caller: Internet Solutions

They are surfing numbers from the WhoIs and they are a scam operation trying to lure people in who don't know a lot about website design. The sad thing is that the people who will get suckered in probably don't do searches on phone numbers online

i received a voice mail (no name left, just phone number) saying hi, i noticed some communication errors on your website.  please give me a call and we can talk about them.

Received a call asking to speak with the owner of the website about code errors in the website.  When asked what the nature of the call was about the guy said that he wanted to talk to the owner about fixing the code errors.  I'm the webmaster and I told him that the owner wasn't interested in any assistance from him.  The guy got nasty and asked who I was to be able to tell him what we needed.  If some one calls from Internet Advance (or Internet Advancement) just tell them no thank you, do not call us again, and hang up.  They are a major fishing scam!

This person, Chris saxon, said he'd help me with errors from my website. I don't have any problems and I resent this invasion of privacy

I received a call from "Mike" who said that there were code errors on my company's website which prevents anyone from purchasing our products.  He then offered a "free consultation".  I thanked him and said I would contact my web designer.  Of course, there are no code problems.  How sad that there are so many people out there who have to tell such bald-faced lies in order to make a living. I did report them to the Do-Not-Call Registry.

Someone called and pretended something was wrong with my voicemail recorder so he did not have to say who he was with. I can always sense a diversion. I looked them up and there seems to be a pattern

These people have been calling my house leaving voicemails about errors on my website. The message says they can help me fix "a communication leak"!?!?!?! I think they are looking up numbers through a whois interface and try to scam people. Beware.
