Got same call about Microsoft; I knew it was a scam from the beginning. I finished the conversation by saying funny my computer is sending virus because I don't own one. They hung up right away

Received a call from this number today from a woman. Caller ID could not tell who she was, just said "Out Of Area"
I could barely understand her heavy accent (sounded like Raj from Big Bang Theory). She said they had been receiving notifications about many problems on my computer. I told her my computer is working fine. She insisted they have been receiving notifications, for months now, from my computer, that my Windows is having serious problems. I told her that I do not have Windows in my house. Now she wanted to know if I have a computer and what kind. I repeated slowly "You said you are getting notifications that my Windows computer is having serious problems. I. DO. NOT. HAVE. WINDOWS. COMPUTERS. IN. MY. HOUSE." I refused to give out any more information of any kind, and i ended the call. I don't know how they could be receiving notifications about Windows having problems when this house is ALL Apple with no Windows installed. Has to be some kind of SCAM.

She said they had been receiving notifications about many problems on my computer. I told her my computer is working fine. I asked if she was SURE it was the Windows computer. She said "yes" I told her my computer does not have Windows. THIS NUMBER TEXTED ME 1 (110) 440-000 AT 2:37AM, 4:43AM, 4:44AM, 6:01AM AND 7:45AM.. THE MESSAGE SAID,

A to accept & add this user to your Friend list
D to deny"
BUT IT DON'T SAY WHAT WEBSITE HE OR SHE IS ON OR TEXTING FROM... SILLY MEEEE ? WHO CAN BE A ? AT TIMES. I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT THERE WASN'T NO WEBSITE  OR WEB ADDRESS  BEFORE PUSHING"Y" TO ACCEPT ??? SO HURRIED AND PUSHED "D" FOR DENY. I ?  HOPE IT WORKED AN THEY DIDN'T GET ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. I CAN ONLY ?

This guy sounds like he is from India and has called several times,ready to change number,this is a terrible nuisance.

got this phone call from this number this afternoon and they said hello and that was it then they hung up it is so frustrating to get to know that my number is not listed and they still get it and we are on the do not call list so angry

Just received a call from this number.  A man from (sounded like) India said he was with Microsoft Computers.  He said my computer was sending information back to their offices, something about someone was trying to hack into my computer on numerous occasions.  He wanted me to sign onto my computer and give him permission to connect directly to my computer so he could "fix the problem."
I let him know right away I was onto his scam and I would not be allowing him access to my computer.  He got very upset, tried to deny it, until I told him I was Law Enforcement(which I'm not) and would be investigating his call further.  He called me a b*tch and hung up the phone quickly.  lol

Report them immediately to www.donotcall.gov.  'They' cannot do anything about it unless they know about it.

This number called , I usually never answer unavailable numbers..anyway they were from 'Microsoft' telling me all kinds of things were happening to 'windows' that I should know about, she was absolutely panicked!,
I told her I wasn't,t interested, she was absolutely rude and loud....I had to hang up telling her not to call again.... Who are these people??? Microsoft?? Really???

I got a call from this number earlier today; I said hello, waited, and got nothing but silence in return. Then, after a few seconds I heard someone hang up and the line went dead. I called back moments later only to be told no such number existed.

These dumbasses have been calling my work phone & cell phone back to back for fricken 40 minutes straight.  Cussing at me and my supervisor and being very rude.  I couldn't even understand him because his accent was very strong, sounded like he was from INDIA.  Jerks, they need to be locked up and throw away the key.

This number has been calling my phone several times a day for the past week.  440-000-0000 and I am so frustrated, I wish someone would find out who they are and STOP their Crap!!!!! It's annoying!!!!!!!!!!

I answered a call from this number yesterday (accidentally, was in a room with a phone without caller ID) and it was a guy asking for my husband, said something about a survey. Couldn't understand him at first, had him repeat, and he just sounded strung out, slangish, weird. I said Never call here again and I will be danged if they didn't call again today. I am on the Do Not Call registry, but that does no good. I have reported numbers to them over and over and still get calls from the same number. It just really ticks me off that these people are able to harass me in my home.

This number calls me a few times a day.  No one is ever there and when I call it back a recording states that it has been disconnected.

Received a call from 1-440-000-0000 at about 7 pm.  Didn't answer and have blocked. After reading all of these posts I am glad I didn't waste my time. I hope that someone can get to the bottom of this.

I answered this call and it turned out to be a political survey. Questions asked:

1. How do you plan on voting for the Nov 12th election? Mail-in or polls.
2. Who will you vote for? Republican Mitt Romney, or Barack Obama
3. Who did you vote for in 2008? Barack Obama or John McCain
4. How do you usually vote during an election? Republican, Democrat, or Independent.
5. What year were you born?

this number call me early in the morning,since i dont recognize the number,i did not answer it.Phuck U telemarketers.

I live in Toronto. Got a call from this number and a guy with a strong accent told me that I was selected for travel coupon giveaway: 7 nights here OR 1 week-end there or something else (don't understand clearly 'cause the strong accent). Hang up and he call me back, telling that he need some info to check I am the real winner: marital status, age, health issues and net income. Told him that I don't give this kind of info by phone, that if I ever applied for something they have may e-mail and I prefer this contact method ('cause I can check the identity of the sender), and I asked to speak with a manager. He was then kind upset and hang up blessing me and wishing a good day.

Hi we received a call from this number at 5:30 this morning and a lady spoke to husband about being the owner of a computor... but husband cut her off asking if she knew what time it was and to not %^&$*(# call here again and hung up on her!
I see by reading other's input it's a hoax. Idiots ruined my deep sleep!! lol

I get a call from this/these idiot(s) from time-to-time. Today - like all the other times, I answered with saying, only once, "hello" (my tend to answer the phone in a fairly stern/no BS tone)  
I listened for some kind of intelligent reply, as usual, there was none.  
Today the call ended, as it usually does, with a recorded female voice that says, "good bye" followed by a hangup.

Well I did do a google on this number of 440 000 000 and here is the results I found. It appears this number belongs to a fax machine with the number belonging to: AS SHOWN BELOW.  It seems someone is having fun on this church's expense. I have red on Google people in Costa Rica, Scotland, and even  Purto Rico have received calls from this number.  Info as follows.

they called me in Ontario at 3:30 today April 27 2012. I answered to dead air then hung up...shrug

April 27, 2012. I got this same phone call this morning with the same number  400 000 0000. I did not asnwer this call. I will google this and seeif I can come up with any results.

Caller / Jerk with accent from this number tried to tell me there was malicious information on my computer. Not a chance unless this !@#$%^*^*(^) hacked me. Informed him that I had anti virus protection and computer is fine. Spam or trouble maker. Don't waste your time, or believe anything that this caller said.

This number calls very early with no one on the line!!!

i received a call from this number and +1000000000, i didnt reply but it freek me out..it was 1 am..

work on a switch board in Dublin. Recieved a call on two numbers at the same time. Both calls where silent. Not even the music. grr so annoying
