Received a message. Did not say who they were calling from-just that they wanted a return call and to reference an ID #. I know all of my accounts are in good standing and paid so why they are calling me is beyond me... I noticed the Cleveland Clinic is one of their clients and we have employee benefits from them because my husband works there. Chances are something was billed incorrectly and we were not notified....Won't be calling back a shady company or person like this.

My $34 Bill was paid about 8 months ago and took awhile for the Cleveland Clinic to finally validate their mistake. It's bad enough the Clinic can't be more professional in their accounting (errors every month, usually they forget to bill insurance). Using such a low life collection agency is even worse.  Shows how badly the Cleveland Clinic is really run and why I now consider other medical service suppliers.  Medical care 10/10, collection and billing 1/10 - but in the end customers will choose groups that do both.

i am reporting this as this compnay has broken every collection law and i am suprised they are not sued on a daily basic wow -i get calls like that are my lst lost friend first off by law you have to say as toi why you are clling and give the mini mor each call who trains them to collect

do that because that is third party disclosure and you can get some good monies   go for it i do collections for a living and what this company is doing is very very illegal

I had them calling me daily for $20.00. I finally reported them to BBB

440-847-2748 -- Calling my employer's number to collect for an employee, when told this is a company...that the person is unavailable to come to the phone, they continued to harrass me (the administrative assistant).  I asked if this was a personal matter, and I then mentioned that they are calling a person's place of employment for a collection of a debt, and that I would be reporting them to donotcall.org and the BBB.  She hung up immedicately!  Go figure!

I got a call from this number from a Shirley Curtis. When I ran a reverse number check it came to be registered in a town called Trinity, OH. I then looked up Trinity and found that in the state of Ohio there is no such town.

I received two answering machine messages within an hour yesterday, from two different, both leaving this number as the callback.  I did have a debt with HMC group at one time, but to my knowledge all such debts were settled some time ago. I was approved for free care for an emergency, forwarded this information to all collectors, including HMC, and I even received a check in the mail from the Clinic for "overpayment" for the ten dollars I had sent in for my fruitless effort to keep my bill from going to collections.

So...

Debbie Brown called me today from 866-668-1702 but I thought it was strange that she said I should call her back at 440-847-2748 and acted like she was a long lost friend. Thanks to this site, I will not be calling her back, it would be a big wast of both of our time because I HAVE NO MONEY LEFT! They need to be calling Anthem BC/BS who screwed us out of Maternity coverage and forced us to have a baby with NO COVERAGE which has exhausted all of our savings!

It is in fact HMC Group, the small debt collector the Cleveland Clinic passes small debts to.  I refuse to answer ANY 800 calls if they are not good enough to list their names in the caller ID.  The goofy thing is I haven't been to the Cleveland Clinic in 1 1/2 yrs. and I did have a debt that HMC collected on almost a year ago.  They sent invoicing as was the arrangement and I paid the bill off.  I think they are now grasping at straws...seriously.  They ask for a specific person, say this is a COURTESY call and please return the call. No other information or even a name.  I'd say they have called at least 3 times in the last 60 days.

Got a call from this number, only info she gave me was her name, Lori Shaw. I don't know her, and, if she can't leave a better message than that, I'm not talking to her

To the best of my memory, this number is for a law office, where the attorney there is the owner operator of a small to mid size collection agency.  They collect debts. They also have many small balance accounts sent to them from CCF when CCF just doesnt want to deal with the small amounts owed, nor, working on coding errors which happen all the time.

Best thing to do is call them and find out what they are trying to collect, then review your records and validate the debt.  If it's owed, pay it to the best of your ability.  If you can't work out payment arrangements or ask to negotiate a settlement--perhaps even both.  

If, the collector is a hot head, send them a cease and decist (internet search for FDCPA - The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) this will need to be done by mail, certified reiept and keep a copy of the letter for your records.  If they call you again note that date and time as that is their last phone call allowed by federal law.  EVERY phone call after that has a specific monitary penalty for each and every occurance.

It's a collection agency...One of their larger clients is Cleveland Clinic. This number is just the callback number, it never shows up on your caller ID as this. It usually shows up on caller ID as an 800 or 877 number

I received a Call from a Miss Meyers from this number for my wife and they would not give any other Info.

Received a phone call from this number. The caller left no message.

Keep getting a voicemail from this exact number. They act like they are a friend calling. "Hi _____, this is Tiffany, call me back at 440-847-2784."  
Here is what I say to myself....."Sorry Tiffany... you can call till your blue in the face....not calling you back! Have a nice day!"
And I know its the Cleveland Clinic.... "settle down guys, you will get your money...c'mon, you can't be hurting for $200.00! Are you serious?!?" "That amount is peanuts compared to the millions you and the insurance companies are raping from us ALL!"
