The man name was Albert that harressed my family in demanding my personal info-just found out its fraud! Watch out! Very intimidating in asking personal info he has an accent-non english speaking. Claims he's from United States Financial Crime Investigation Dept. The claim is that someone took out a loan and I was a reference on it no payments has been made in over a year. It was my responsiblity to contact this person to get them this message but both of us were being charged and would have to go to court. I also received calls from2846685730 and 254360538245.

I got a call from both this number, and 975-107-7566.  Yes it was Albert again.  Didn't ask for a lot of info, just super-insistent I call him back.  He said I had payments still to make on a payday loan.  I took one of those out several months ago, never again!  Too many fees.  And they keep calling/emailing for you to re-up.   Anyway, he said part of it was unpaid, thats how I knew it was a scam.  So watch it!

Hey...... these people calling from INDIA, CHINA and other countries. where hundred of call centers are running for getting money by fraud from USA and UK citizens... ITS ALL SCAM...

How it runs..........(for debt collection)

It starts when people tries to get loan online, they fill all their personal detail on that sites and problem starts from this point. all your information is sold to collection agencies (call centers) at $4 to $6 / Person, whether you got that loan or not.

SO what actually they (Call Centers) do...

1. They have all of your information includes: your name, social security number, address, employment detail, 2 references and a detail of amount.( which you didn't get)

2. For dialing purpose call center gets USA or UK numbers. they calls through various softwares (like: ICALL). And have various phone numbers.

3.They hire college students or some people and prepare them to communicate with you. (training classes for getting a bit of American accent) and gives them fake names (American).

4. They makes a write up for leaving message to threaten you. like:-

"This message is intended for Mr. john (your name).  john the very second you receive this msg i need you or your retained attorney to call me back. the issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. my name is ..........., and i am calling from financial accountability association, my call back no. is 123456789, i am repeating this for you john 123456789, john don't disregard this msg and call me on my number back as soon as possible. if i don't get any call from you or from your attorney........ wish you good luck, bye"

5. If you pick up phones ...they will threaten you by saying... that federal govt or federal legislation  is going to pressing lawsuit against you and your social security number. and try to make you remember that you took a pay day loan and never paid it back... so it is very easy to threaten you by saying that "such company falling lawsuit against you for your unpaid loan".
( you don't know for which loan he/she talking about and try to remember your last 2- 3 loans (which you actually got and never paid)).  At this time you stuck in the situation.

(according to my perception you never know "how many loan you took in last 1 or 2 year"- sorry-- joking)

6. They will tell that you are charged against these allegations:-  1. Theft by deception 2. collateral cheque fraud

7. They will tell u that they have sent various mails to inform you but u never replied and that was the only way to communicate you.

8.They will ask u to write a Apologizing letter that “your intention was not bad and you never wanted to run away with that money & you want to fix that issue by paying ..... amount.”

how to avoid them...

1. By telling that you have an attorney (Both criminal and bankruptcy). give any number by saying "call to my attorney"... they won't call.
2. By telling that u know : Its ALL SCAM .......... they will hung up.
3. By telling that its not my social security number....... they will never call.
4.By asking for the date of loan taken (online)........ they can't help you in this matter (by which u can come to know about scam)

Don't be afraid.........They won't sue........

If this detail is helpful for you please copy paste this into other pages... don't be selfish.... and save other people from being fool.

My English is not so good.
I am an Indian........ all Indians are not same... you can send me mail for more detail:- jasusviju@gmail.com

IF YOU REALLY TOOK LOAN AND WANT TO PAY IT BACK THEN PLEASE VERIFY ALL DETAIL BEFORE PAYING ANYONE.........

Thanks and help people

Prank Call
I have received these calls from these people.. Financial investigation unit federal bureau in New York. From an Senior Officer Johnathan Lester  saying I had been involved in a criminal act. And that they would have the sheriff come and pick me up.  Getting through their accent was like UGH!!! So i demanded to speak with a American person. Then the guy said he would go slow for me and then he said I am going to F____K You.  He had to repeat it twice before I realized what he said and started cursing him out. Then i called back and got someone else and asked for the address and he changed the numbers several time but the last answer I got from him was 2947 Fu-king Street. Needless to say he got cursed out as well. So this is a scam. But they have been callling with these threats like I have did something wrong, and I have not taken out a payday loan, but I did look at a couple of websites and attempted it but when I saw the fee I backed out.  They have changed their number, the calls are coming from  1-347-875-9600 now.

I got a call from this number, first thing I noticed was the weird name David Anderson, a name like that from an Indian guy was a red flag. He said he was from the US Federal Financial Crimes Investigation Department. He called my cell phone, then called my work phone twice back to back and left a message. He had my name, the last four of my SSN and threatened to proceed with legal action and that I would lose my job. How can someone cause you to lose your job? A bunch of B.S., he called my mom, called my younger sister, called my dad all within the hour, leaving messages telling them to call back if they don't want their credit report to take a hit. I googled the company, non-existent. I tried to yellowbook reverse search the number, nothing came up. I then google searched the number and got this website. This only confirmed my doubts. I called the number and it went to voicemail, no professional message, just left your message after the tone, you would think if it were the government wouldn't they have a pre-recorded message, matter of fact wouldn't they have tried to contact you via certified mail first before harrassing you and your family. Thanks for everyones input, I've contacted my employer and will contact my back and FBI.

My brother got two calls from #443-221-4534 telling him that my husband any myself are involved in a criminal law suit and needing to call back right away to make payment. When we called back it just rings and goes to voicemail that is not set up just leave a message.  When my husband went to work today they had already called three times.  I called the FTC at 1-877-382-4357 and have made a claim against the number she said to get a copy of our credit report right away.  They also warned that they are acting as legal reps from law offices and to be very careful.  Just wanted to pass along to help anyone else out!

My good friend got a few calls from this number, threatening me with arrest at home or work.
Probably the same jokers calling me from a different number.  Couldn't always understand what they were saying due to accent.  Individual I talked to wouldn't identify himself, or give any information other than last four of my social security number and mention of a complaint against me, and not to hang up again  or basically face the consequences.  Needless to say was worrying to get these calls.  Reported it to employer, FBI and DOJ.

This happened to me also. It was also David Anderson that called me and threatened me with all these alligations of fraud. The bad thing is, I had taken out a payday loan, so I really thought it was valid. Since they had already called references I had listed. I gave them my debit card number and they actually deducted from my account. When I started asking certain questions, they were not able to answer them to my satisfaction so I started to do some research and couldnt find anything. I googled the phone # 443-221-4534 and discovered it was all fraudulant. Now I am trying to get my money back. I even cancelled my credit card.

Hello,

I received the same phone call form a David Anderson this morning 4/19/10.  - same phone number.
I saw your post,
He had my name as Betty Jo, and had my son's name and told me to contact my son and  to tell
my son to call David - (with the thick accent).  He said it was concerning a fraud case and he couldn't
give me any information.

I'm scared - can you tell me what you did? - You said in your post - call the FBI.  I found a
number for Las Vegas department - and left a message -  what do i tell them?

I am not sure about the credit agencies.  Contact Social Security too? and tell them???

my e-mail address is:

Thanks

I got three calls this morning and couldn't understand the first two.  My ex -husband was contacted and told it was urgent that I respond.  The third call I was finally able to get info to call back.  Of course I was freaking out since the message stated that I was being contacted from a Mike Owens (which my ex said funny how he has such an American name) stating he was from the United States Federal Crimes Investigation Department and there was a legal complaint on my name and I was a suspect.  He gave the last four digits of my social security and a case number.  Then stated if I didn't return his call my credit rating would be in jeopardy and I would end up in legal matters.  He also said if he didn't hear from me the case would be downloaded and I would lose my social security, job and something else that I couldn't understand.  I was scared! I immediately tried to google the USFCID with no results..so I googled the call back number he left and found this page.  Of course I called him immediately and told him to send me any info in writing, he was upset that I wouldn't listen to what he had to say.  He told me the exact same thing as he told "Kaczynski" to the T the only difference was his name.  He then told me if I ignored the matter I would be arrested at my place of employment.  So I hung up on him only to have him call me back 15 minutes later.  How concerned should I be about this?  I have spent the last 2 years working hard to clean up my credit after my divorse.

I received a message from these guys at work and a friend of mine told me to check out this website.  It appears that these guys have a repeated history of harrasment and false representation of themselves.  After I read this and called them back, I got that Michael guy like a few others and asked for a written statement so that I can see what the debt is, and after a tirade from him, the phone call abbruptly ended from his end.

I dont know who these people are and what they are trying to accomplish, but with all these complaints against them, how are they still able to conduct any type of business...

I have experienced the same exact thing as the posting dated 3-4-2010 on a few different occasions. David Anderson From United States Federal Crime Investigation claims I will be arrested on criminal charges and sent to California court. The technology in this day and age is horrifying because this guys actually called and left a threatening message on my parents' home number that same would happen to them if money wasn't wired to them to release these charges. I use them as references on my loan inquiries. I cannot believe the information they have access to. I have since turned them into the FBI, Federal Trade Commission, and am contacting the Federal Comminications Commission today at the direction of the FBI. Their # 1-888-225-5322. These guys doing this type of crime are ruthless and will take advantage of ignorance. Please share this information with all you know as someone who isn't educated on this type of scam may fall for it.
