Saw a listing on craigs list for a nice 3 bd house here in indianapolis  when i called about it they sent me a text saying plz email us as we are deaf   He also got personal and threw in in church wife and lovely daughter who goes to med school and they are living in ft worth tx   I got suspicious when they immmediatly accepted app and asked for half deposit and they would send keys   When i reverse looked up the addres it had a different named owner   The emails i am getting  are from ruthannlallen@ yahoo.com

We're from Wausau, WI and was looking for a new home in Appleton to be close with family and found a nice looking home and emailed it to set up a showing.  We he (Mr.Allen) said with all the unresponsible tenants out there we would have to fill out an application first so I did and when he wrote back he said we were accepted and all we had to do was send him the rent and deposit and the keys and paperwork will be mailed to us.  I mean really I'm going to send someone $2000 for a home I didn't even see.  I'm glad I didn't fall for it.  The only thing that worries me now is I was stupid enough to fill out his form, I mean he has no bithday and SS# but he has my full name and address with a contact #.  I mean I'm a honset and detailed person so when I answered his questions I told the truth.  He knows my kids name and my dogs names along with where I work now.  It's kinda creepy but I doubt if he's running scams he going to have the time to come to my home and see who I am.  But good lesson learned never be intrested in anything on craigslist unless theres a number or person you can meet.

He did the same to us! We just bought our first home and keep having people stop by saying it's listed for rent.

Good lord....we r in rhinelander ,wi and he waS tryin to rent a house in green bay , wi...i thought it fishy right away and amy decided to look into it a bit further....then came the...ill send you app...you send me money and ill send you keys....pffff...right...so we called hom out on his crap in an email and this was his response...f**k you and ur f***ing mamma....classy...lol...i hope no one has fallen for this...the one thing i noticed right away was the email he saent was very uniform and extensively personal about his family....oh...not to mention he had to throw his "church wife" in there too....who belongs to some ministry which we discovered had ties and being sued for allowing a murder to happen....what a p.o.s....tryin to rip off families looking for a new home....its alright though...it will come full circle one day....glad all you that i read ur posts didnt get caught up....take care all!!!! This person tried to rent me someone's house in NJ.  I asked him who he had the house listed with and he said Remax...I knew he was lying because the house is listed with another Real Estate Agency.  I told him that I was going to go and knock on the door and he said no, I'll see what I can do.  I hung up the phone laughing.....if you can't get inside to view a property then why would I give you my money.  I hope they catch this person and send him back to his country from which he came.

Yea he is a scam I found this listing of a very nice house on craigslist an it was in nix a mo an when I emailed the person he said he lived in elpaso tx then I got a phone call from him from this number today an that's not a tx area code but I didn't realized this but I didn't send him no money but I filled a stupid app out for him just has my full name but no other personal info. An then I was looking the house up online and its listed from some other company wow he is a scam an a good one to.

THIS IS A SCAM. THE GUY IS FOREIGN AND WANTS YOU TO SEND MONEY VIA WESTERN UNION THEN HE'LL SEND YOU THE KEYS WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE HOUSE.

Hhi , I was doing a search on craiglist for an apartment for rent and I found a single family house in paterson for $900 a month , I sent it a email to the person and he did reply to me , but I tho the way he spoke was very suspicios , so I did a research online and the house he is renting is not under his name or his suppously wife or family . This is a spam , so people out there becareful do not send any money , checks or money orders to someone who u didn't talk to over the phone . Be wise

He tried in parkersburg, wv using craigslist, house for rent 500.00 a month with security deposit of 500.00.  Told them to let me investigate first.  Glad I Did, scammmmmmmmmmmmm

He FOOLISHLY THOUGHT that we would wire him money without seeing him in person which was laughable...I WISH I THOUGHT ABOUT SENDING A COMPLETE STRANGER MY HUSBANDS HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!  THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME TO KICK HIS HEAD OFF HIS SHOULDERS!

he almost scammed me until i looked up this phone number and saw all of these messages.  I thought it was very fishy that I was approved without checking any references or credit or anything!!!!!  I dont know who to contact to report him!

I own and run a residential property management company in the Colorado Springs, CO area and this guy from this phone number is scamming potential renters.  He stole my rental listing and has his name of Robert and this phone number as the property manager to call.  DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY INFORMATION AND REPORT HIM.  HE HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION.
