Man in a very loud call center wanted to know if I had a computer or laptop.  I said it was none of his business, I am on the Do Not Call list, and could I speak to a supervisor.  He kept saying hello, hello, I cannot hear you.  I kept asking for a supervisor and he finally hung up.  Very hard to understand the man, his accent was so strong.  Did not give out any personal info.

Said they were from Windows...I hung up on them..How can we stop these people?

The caller said her name was Rose and she wanted to help me fix my computer because it was infected.  She didn't tell me where she was from.  She told me to turn on my computer and she could help. I have dial up and told her I couldn't turn on the computer and talk on the phone at the same time. She asked if I had a cell phone she could call me back on because she really wanted to help me fix my computer.  I told her I didn't and she wanted to know when she could call back.  I WILL NOT answer the phone the next time.  The phone number shows up a is listed as an unknown name. BEWARE, IT'S A SCAM!!!

Got a call from 451.667.5888, and the lady on the other end said she was from the Windows Security Center and asked if I was currently on my laptop (I wasn't). "Yes!" I said. "Ok ma'am, do you see the button that says C-R-T-L on your keyboard? I need you to push that button with one of your fingers..." "Which one?" I asked "Ma'am, it doesn't matter, push the control button, and then see the button next to the control button?" "Uh-huh" "Ok ma'am, push and hold down that button too, and push and hold down the letter R" "Uh-huh" "Ok ma'am, what do you see now?" "Uh... A window!" "Yes, ma'am and what does the window say?" "I don't know I can't read!" I say exasperated. "Ma'am, you can't read?" "No, I can't read, I'm completely illiterate." "Ma'am, are you joking with me?" "No! I can't read! Should I give you my credit card information now?" *Click!* hahah! I love messing with them :-D that's what you get for calling me on a school night after my bed time! Can't wait for them to call back so I can use my next ruse... "I did it... But there's blood everywhere. Now what?" Click! Muahahahaha!!

Said they were from Microsoft, another call said they were Windows. All calls with foreign (India?) accent.

person on the other lane asked if I was Mr.--- I said no I'm a girl..  he said he was from  Microsoft and I needed to turn on my computer  I said no I can't do that..  he said Why I told him I didn't know who he was ..  he said all you have to do is turn your computer on I said I think this is a scam...  he started "screaming at me" you are a Bi***!!!  what ever you do don't answer this call...

Usually no voice on line. Just plain annoying.

Called me several times, never left messages.  Phone disconnected when I tried to call back. Most likely a scam.

My sister got hosed by these clowns and wrecked her PC. I just received a call from them but didn't answer it because I never answer unidentified #s. So I Binged 451 667 5888 to read what others say about this #. Sire enough it was the Microsoft Windows Service Center scammers. They have called me dozens of times before but I'm wise to their crap and sometimes I give them hell and tell them I know what they are up to and say I'm going to tell everyone I know about them. You should too. Spread the word people.

I answered as a watch dog consumer group, they hung up on me. If you're reading this , do something , spend the time to e mail, or call your Congressmen, or Women. it may take 5 or 10 minutes. WE DON'T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS! We know that the phones and the internet is the wild west ,But the internet is  25 years old , and the wild west lasted only 2 decades

Sorry you got scammed - tough lesson for you.  I had 3 calls yesterday in a short period  (plus 5 more from other numbers).  Never answer calls from unknown numbers.  If they are legit, they'll leave a message.  If you don't have call display, get it!  Well worth any price.  Hopefully, "older" is now a little wiser....

4/25/14 I got called only being older & not computer savvy he talked me into letting him fix my computer. Later he said it would only cost $349 for a lifetime fix to all my computers. By that time it was too late. When I wouldn't type in my name for him he got mad & told me my computer & URL would be locked up forever & I could never even get another computer to work at my home. I hung up on him & turned my computer off. Later that evening I tried to turn my computer on & sure enough it was locked up. It askes for a password which I don't have & won't let me get on. I'm sending this from my cell phone. Don't be stupid like I was.

They called and said my Windows computer has been sending error alerts, said to hit the control and windows I said i can not.... he said he will try to save my computer I said you can not! He said hit the windows key with the control key...I said it is impossible..He said you have to do this... I said it can not be done it is not possible..He is now frustrated..I said I do not have windows flag key on my keyboard he raised his voice and asked what keys am i seeing I said... fn, control, option, and command keys...he said the windows key is there I said NOT ON AN APPLE!!!!! I said good thing I do not have windows with hackers like you around ..Do you believe he hung up on me? How rude! ROTFLOL! The phone number showed up but no name! BEWARE My WINDOWS Friends!

Got a call this morning regarding Microsoft Windows and caller knows my computer ID number, I said what the HELL !!!!! How do you know ?  The caller mention the number and he was damn right..... Got scared and I hung up....How this happened?  Should I be worried?  I am the only one using my computer, how they were able to get this number?

Same routine...but they use multiple numbers...be aware of calls from the number above, 979-764-2811, 723-492-5667, & 207-598-4867. Same spiel used every time. Blocked & reported to DNC Registry...but if I am on DNC, why do these scammers still call? Has the DNC fallen off the grid?!

They called and said something was wrong with computer, don't own one.

The caller said they were getting messages from my computer saying Windows was corrupted.
I asked which of the 3 computers on my desk was the problem.  He put me on with his 'Supervisor' who told me to go to a website.  When I got to the website, I told him my computers were already infected with Penguins and Lizards. When he seemed confused, I told him I was running openSUSE Linux. The supervisor told me to 'Go F*ck Yourself' and hung up.  

This is the second time in two days these clowns have got through on a call and the 4th time in 3 days they have called.  Both times I told them I'm not using Windows. Maybe this will get me off their call list.

If they send you to www.support.me, you will find a screen that asks you to enter a 6 digit pin number.

DO NOT ENTER THE NUMBER. They link will allow them to access your computer.

Instead, you should write down the number then hang up.  On the screen you will see a link to Report Abuse. Click on the link and call the phone number on the screen and give them the pin number. They might be able to track down the scammers.

I get these stupid "your computer is being infected" calls. Get highly irate with them, tell them YOU KNOW IT'S THEM HACKING YOU!! and just go psycho.  it messes them up and they hang up.

Another foreign call center scam. What is up with our gov't that they are doing nothing about this? Comcast is my carrier and I am awash in these kinds of calls daily. Never had it with any other provider. Wow, THIS "is the future of awesome"?

Indian call center claims to be from Microsoft wanting to repair my computer as Microsoft has been alerted that I have 'infections'.  I asked for the phone number he would not give it to me, I asked how he knew my computer was infected, he said that they had had an alert from my PC to warn them.  I said I didn't think that it was possible to do that and he assure me it was and that they were monitoring my PC to avoid such infections.  I again said I didn't think that was possible as I have an iMAC and not a PC.  I said I would be reporting the number as this is a scam and the phone went dead.  

I am on every Do Not Call list possible and still these people call.

They call from time to time.  This time they started calling at 7:00 A. M.!  Coincidentally, this was the first time in years I had slept straight through the night, so I was really angry and yelled at them.  They continued calling until I answered and repeatedly said "hello?"  over and over like I couldn't hear them.  The guy finally said "are you kidding me, ma'm?" and then finally hung up.  This phone number only showed up the first time, when a female called, after that it was "unavailable" and "unknown number".  If they call back, I plan to blow a really loud whistle in the phone.  What jerks.  Like I am really so dumb that I am going to believe that the technical department of Windows is going to call me?

computer scammer.  Knew this scam when i answered.  This is my buisiness line so i have to answer.  so i bust there chops than use call control to automatically hang up on them next time.  How I look at it i abuse them real bad say things morally wrong and if they call the cops than we might ( i doubt it) get em. (naaa).  

They are trying to sell anything and everything.  Pharmaceuticals for example.  Viagra Cialis - they get your number and if you talk to them one time and purchase meds from them or one of their twelve partner companies ONE time then they ALL will call you several times a day.  SCAM SCAM.  They wlll N.O.T. stop calling you.
